it's [I]depressive[/I] black metal, that's what most of the genre sounds like. The only thing different with Austere is they have better production and can actually create an atmosphere (overly used work, I know) through their melody. It works and sounds great.

What's bad about that album?

i know what depressive black metal sounds like - most of it is shockingly bad, including austere. i didnt mind the isolation side tbh, except some of the vocals were crap. austere side was just totally ugh, bland, unmoving, and the vocals were horrendous.

isolation's vocalist sounds autistic

yeah they weren't very good. im just not big on depressive bm most of it is trash.

What bugs me about Austere are the vocals. A lot of DSBM is actually pretty good, but why do the vocals always have to be so over the top...

Make A Change... Kill Yourself's vocals are much less annoying. And the riffs on his second album are pretty good.

And lol. I just saw someone on youtube calling Altar Pf Plagues DSBM. I mean, am I an idiot for thinking they're not..?
