Don't think it was before your time, I was modded this summer, you've only been a here a few months shorter than me.

Maybe you blinked :thumb:
Quite possibly, but as some of you may have noticed i've only been a heavy poster in the bass forums for about a month...

maybe there is a god above
but all i've ever learned from love
was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
and it's not a cry that you hear at night
it's not somebody who's seen the light
it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

neal_672 11-19-2004 04:23 PM
Nothing, I am going to have to sell cookie dough door to door though and I really don't want too!
How the hell did you get involved in doing that

Espbassor 11-19-2004 04:25 PM

^Its the first step in selling drugs...

ScorpSath 11-19-2004 04:26 PM

My soccer team is raising money to go to europe, and my coach recently informed me I had a week to sell 30 tubs of overpriced cookie dough.

Which version of that song are you singing there?

I like the Jeff Buckley cover best.

Spaceman Spiff 11-19-2004 04:31 PM

^^^Jeff Buckley's, i was just listening to it when i typed that up. Leonard Cohen is an amazing poet, and Jeff Buckley has one of the best voices ever.

do you have his live dvd? he finishes the concert with it, it's incredible.

Wintermute 11-19-2004 04:32 PM

I don't have it, but I have seen it.

That guy was a true legend. So sad...

Omega Red 11-19-2004 04:46 PM

hey wintermute can we do something about the 50000000000000000000000000000 bajillion chord threads in the bass lessons section, half of them are wrong anyways.

I love football (not soccer) as a matter of fact I really don't like soccer.

Seems too boring for me. But football is awesome :thumb:

peeted 11-19-2004 04:50 PM

i hate football. dont know about american football tho

Omega Red 11-19-2004 04:50 PM

Rugby pwns Football

Wintermute 11-19-2004 04:51 PM

^
Too true, too true.

peeted 11-19-2004 04:53 PM

it does (rugby leage pwans rugby union)

neal_672 11-19-2004 04:56 PM

I prefer playing footy, but generally think rugby is more interesting to watch...

cliffburtonrules 11-19-2004 04:56 PM

I wouldn't know if rugby pwns football...... don't live in England. Ok see ya all later MX im gone for the weekend!!!!!!

Wintermute 11-19-2004 04:57 PM

I honestly forget which one is which. The one where you get a set number of tackles before you change possession, that one's crap. The other one is a great sport, as long as I don't have to play it, or fraternize with those who do.

Wintermute 11-19-2004 04:58 PM
I prefer playing footy, but generally think rugby is more interesting to watch...
Remember that when most of these people say football, they mean American Football, not footy. You know, wuss rugby?

peeted 11-19-2004 04:59 PM

you have a set number of tackels in both

neal_672 11-19-2004 04:59 PM

Yeah i don't know the difference between the two either... Not sure i really care either... If i played it i think i'd die, don't have the body mass

neal_672 11-19-2004 05:00 PM
Remember that when most of these people say football, they mean American Football, not footy. You know, wuss rugby?
Ah yes of course, i forget this is a primarily american website...

Spaceman Spiff 11-19-2004 05:02 PM

all i know is that rugby is a lot more violent, and therefore, is better.

but in my opinion, most sports suck except for baseball.
most, not all.

neal_672 11-19-2004 05:03 PM

W00t basketball rules too, although it's not as big in the Uk...

Wintermute 11-19-2004 05:04 PM

I find almost all sports to be lacking in grace and finesse. Except fencing. Yay swords!

Spaceman Spiff 11-19-2004 05:06 PM

fencing isn't a sport, it's a way to legally "accidentally" kill someone in front of a large audience. :)

neal_672 11-19-2004 05:06 PM
I find almost all sports to be lacking in grace and finesse. Except fencing. Yay swords!
Hmmmm i play Football (soccer for y'all from the US), basketball and i go surfing too. never tried fencing, looks cool though...

Wintermute 11-19-2004 05:10 PM
fencing isn't a sport, it's a way to legally "accidentally" kill someone in front of a large audience. :)
Football is much more dangerous than fencing. People are always breaking bones or tearing ligaments, and someone died the other year. No-ones died in fencing for the last 80 years.

Neal - where abouts do you live? South coast, I'd guess?

Spaceman Spiff 11-19-2004 05:12 PM

yeah, i actually remember this one football injury where a guy had his knee bone come through his skin.

neal_672 11-19-2004 05:13 PM
Neal - where abouts do you live? South coast, I'd guess?
Nope North-East near Middlesbrough. I go to the South every year for my holidays for surfing purposes. Until then it's the freezing North Sea :upset: I broke my leg playing football when i was 11, then stood up on the broken leg because of the adrenalin rush and the bone nearly pierced the skin and went as this dodgy angle :upset: x 1000000
