When're you seeing them, Marshall?
Whenever they come to Florida(lol never), or if possible after march when I am in LA.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2006 06:12 PM

He's been sick like the entire tour it seems like. What a fag.

Kage - I'm offended.*

Re. Binges: Yeah, I'm on one of those all the time basically.

One Groovin Clown 10-02-2006 06:25 PM

Those Tool binges are just about every 2nd week or so. Lately i've really been liking their albums before Lateralus. Hell right now I prefer to listen to them :P.

Kage 10-02-2006 06:26 PM

I really love listening to Lateralus during road trips. I did that yesterday, and it was nice. It has to be evening-night, though.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2006 06:30 PM

I like listening to Right in Two while I'm driving. I just get so into it, and it feels like I'm where I want to be in no time flat. Headbanging passes time quite well. :p

One Groovin Clown 10-02-2006 06:31 PM
I really love listening to Lateralus during road trips. I did that yesterday, and it was nice. It has to be evening-night, though.
Very true, i find listening to Lateralus as more of a relaxed listen. Late at night or during school work. When i'm feeling more awake i prefer the work of Paul. They had much more of a heavier sound and is awsome to listen to.

Kage 10-02-2006 06:33 PM

The other day I was listening to Exit Music by Radiohead in the car and during the climax where he's saying "now we are one in everlasting peace," I started yelling along really passionately and it was really therapuetic and I was in really good spirits the rest of the day.

i was going to say, i tend to listen to tool on my ipod quite a lot (on trains and walking and stuff) but not that much on my computer.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2006 06:38 PM

I listen to Tool a lot in my car, in my friend's car, and I used to listen to them a lot on my mp3 player.

Then it got stolen.

Kage - Yeah, that's another awesome driving song. I get really wrapped up in that album when I listen to it in the car.

Kage 10-02-2006 06:39 PM
Kage - Yeah, that's another awesome driving song. I get really wrapped up in that album when I listen to it in the car.
Definitely a driving record.

You've warmed up to it then?

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2006 06:42 PM

Definitely. It literally took me 30 listens. Now it's probably one of my top 10 or 15 favorite albums.

/needs more Radiohead

Airbag, Exit Music, and Climbing up the Walls are probably my faves. I'm into the dark brooding stuff; I'm somewhat of a trip hop junkie, y'know. :p

PS: I'm listening to Shadow GB by Sayd r'now. Just thought I'd mention that.

Kage 10-02-2006 06:44 PM

Yowza. That's an oldschool tune, but that's pretty awesome that you're listening to it.

OK Computer took me a long time to get into as well (not quite THAT long though). But once it hits you, it really hits you.

Now i'm damn jealous. Ever since my first show i've wanted to see them again and again. Damn Live Tool Withdrawal.

misunderstood 10-03-2006 09:59 AM

^You're finding it hard to wait until November! I'm finding it very hard to wait until next spring..when I was actually suppose to see them last month!
I can't believe they rescheduled until next spring.

ouch that is seriously harsh :(

unknownsoldier12 10-03-2006 01:24 PM

some one needs to bootleg a show for us

One Groovin Clown 10-03-2006 03:23 PM

An aquaintance of mine said one of his friends managed to sneak in some recording equipment to a Tool show. He said 1200, but i'm pretty skeptical about it. I'm going to ask him see if it was true or not.

magicbus 10-03-2006 03:47 PM

My buddy sent me 3 videos of entire Tool sets, 5/11/06, 6/4/06, and 8/6/06. That's pretty cool since I missed the concert when they came by me.

unknownsoldier12 10-03-2006 03:49 PM

i would love to see another bootlegged TOoL show...

someone needs to post that shizz

magicbus 10-03-2006 03:57 PM

Actually I hadn't even watched the third one yet. This is fantastic. Stinkfist has some crazy backdrops.

Kage 10-03-2006 04:00 PM

I've been able to find a lot of audio bootlegs from the recent tour, but hardly any video.

magicbus 10-03-2006 04:01 PM

If you guys know of some way to post them (about 700 mb each), I can do that.

denboy 10-03-2006 06:05 PM

They're all available as torrents if you search isohunt.com

Kage 10-03-2006 06:07 PM

You can get them at demonoid.com too. I'm downloading the August 6th one right now.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2006 06:10 PM

I am still in dire need of Opiate live/extended/audio.

Oh, and when I say dire need, I mean "it would be nice to have." :p

I like Demonoid's interface better.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-03-2006 06:22 PM

Is there by any chance a bootleg of the 8/27 show?

Just out of curiosity, as I was at that one. :D

PS: I'm sick of the thread title. Any ideas?

magicbus 10-03-2006 06:40 PM

Kage the August 6 one probably has the best picture. I watched most of it earlier today, very cool stuff.

Darkness 10-03-2006 09:36 PM

New Zealand and Australia shows have been posted on Toolband.

Awesome, I'm looking forward to it.

Kage 10-04-2006 03:48 PM

I'm watching that bootleg now, and it's amazing. The video during Stinkfist is crazy. Jesus, the song is much better than on the recording.

It seems to me like Tool has tried to drop their enigmatic artsy cherade.

Why do you say that? When i saw them they gave me the impression on a very artisitc and show worthy band.

magicbus 10-04-2006 04:58 PM

Man the footage is so cool. You can see the whole stage and everything.

Check out Maynard during Jambi's guitar solo. He's crazy.

bebubly 10-04-2006 05:00 PM

do i need torrent software??
Why do you say that? When i saw them they gave me the impression on a very artisitc and show worthy band.
Their music and aura still has a lot of artistry to it, but so far there hasn't been any of the somewhat pretentious Lateraluspeak (ie, this song will open your mind). He opened the show saying "Stick your arms the fuck up like you just don't care" or something.

Maybe I just haven't gotten to that part yet.
