Meh, somewhat amusing, but a lot was a load of objective bs.

I was just the first Confederate to die in blockhead's Civil War thread. :(

Lunch 08-26-2005 10:18 PM

That's what you get for being a Confederate.

Steerpike 08-27-2005 12:02 AM

This is annoying. I've been looking for a decent web page on Rata Blanca that isn't in Spanish, and thus far I'm turning up zilch. Google's auto translation doesn't help either. It's almost incomprehensible, the grammar is so butchered.

Congratulations 08-27-2005 12:07 AM

I want a puppy.

My sister has come for a visit and has brought her puppy along. Now I really want a puppy.

It might have been covered by Alanis Morissette.

I am in an incredibly good mood

Iron maiden were...amazingly good, they reinforce their place as the best band I have ever seen with an amazing set at leeds last night

I called in sick at work again today so I have a saturday free for the first time in months

I got my CDs and Final fantasy XI to play

I have not slept for 31 hours
and England are kicking arse in the cricket

Lunch 08-27-2005 07:28 AM

I can't call out, I'm working 10-6. Which reminds me I should probably get going.

Lord Abortion 08-27-2005 07:32 AM

hahahaa

Riva 08-27-2005 08:30 AM

So, I see England won the ashes... The Women's Ashes! First time in 42 years, though... ;)

Ah well, I'm fairly certain the Aussie's can pull something out here. Hopefully.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 08:33 AM

Langer seems to be in good nick.

How about Ponting and Martyn's "lbw" dismissals? Not to mention Flintoff being plum lbw on 8.

I call shenanigans. >_>

Riva 08-27-2005 08:36 AM

Well, SBS is showing 120-1 right now. I suppose that's a start.

Hey, funny story for you, Jon. I was watching my mum making soup, and she added in half a packet of stock. I said, "Who are you, Huey?". :-/

Also, Under the Grandstand is a great show.

Yeah, Huey's awesome. He went from adding two tubs of butter to every meal to adding two packets of stock to every meal. :p

Aaand, I believe you will find the Crows are top of the ladder. :D :D :D :D

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 08:45 AM

I heard that the crows were on top, and the first thing I thought of was your avatar :O

Riva 08-27-2005 09:09 AM

Yeah, I'm really proud of them. What a team!

"We're the pride of South Australia, we're the mighty Adelaide Crows!"

In other news, 139-2. Come on Aussie, c'mon!

Apocalyptic Raids 08-27-2005 09:22 AM

I have nothing to say in case of jinxes.

I'm off for tonight!

Arucard 08-27-2005 09:24 AM

Oooh yes. Party later, and today i got an Emporer shirt! Its awesome, but i had to go into a really scary fake goth/bondage shop to get it. It smelt like glue, leather and poppers. :\

I also got volume two of Hellsing on dvd. Huzzah!

Ok, so I went to the concert last night and had a blast. They really do put on a great live show. Billie Joe really knows how to work the crowd and get them involved.
My cousin and I walk into the place to find our seats and down by the stage they're already playing music. We both stopped and looked at eachother because we recognized what they were playing; Slayer. It was a bit odd.
We had to sit through a really really shitty set of Jimmy Eat World, but once Green Day came on...they were forgotten. The setlist was great

American Idiot
Jesus of Suburbia
Holiday
We Are the Waiting
St. Jimmy
Longview (this was great. Tre started the drum thing and everything went quiet. Billie Joe went into the back and Mike just walks up on the platform and starts messing around with the bass. Everyone started screaming because we knew what was coming. Then he launchs into that cool bass riff and it was great. Billie Joe comes back out wearing devil's horns and everyone started laughing and singing along. He stopped singing and let the crowd sing/scream the last part - "when masturbations lost it's fun, you're fucking loaded..." - and everyone went crazy)
Hitchin' a Ride
She
Basket Case
Brain Stew
Shout/Stand By Me
and they "finished" off with
Minorty (which was what I was waiting for the entire night)
They came back due to the yelling and chanting and played
Wake Me Up When September Ends
Maria
We Are the Championsand ended the show with
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)

Overall, a very good show. I must say I was disappointed they didn't play Homecoming, which is my favorite song off the album.
They did get people up on stage for one song. Billie Joe went around trying to find a drummer and he got this dude up who just sat down at the drums. All we heard was Billie Joe saying "what? You can't really play? You fucking idiot! Get off the stage!" He finally found someone that could play and keep the beat. Then he gets this really geeky looking kid to play bass, but he put that bass on and he could really play well. It was funny as hell. Then he get this teeny 11 year old kid - that hugged Billie Joe around the middle the second he got on stage - to play guitar and ended up giving him the guitar after the set.

Arucard 08-27-2005 09:34 AM

I wouldn't say its that hard to get a bunch of pre-pubescent girls to get into the music and sing along. I still have no faith in Greenday, i am sorry.

Freaks Union all the way.

I told you he did that. :p When I saw them they played a lot more songs, I think.

Endless Obsession 08-27-2005 09:42 AM

So last night my friend had a party and everyone crashed at his house. At 300 in the morning a couple guys decided it would be funny to go spray paint the school saying "good job lions 0-1"(because we lost in football last nigh) and all this other stuff. So this morning there was football practice and there were like 5 cop cars there and i seriously dont want to get in trouble. If I get in trouble im gonna be freakin mad. They already know who did it too but they could think i did since i was sleeping at the kids house.

How did the cops find out it was your friends?

I'd think people would do the same here. The high school I'm going to has one fht suckiest teams around. They were something like 2-11 last year.
