Is internet surfing a sport?
|
I boxed for 2 years. I was made of muscle, and anyone who says it isn't a sport should try it out. I stopped going, and it's been like 2 years now.

So I watched the last few minutes of the Ch4 '50 greatest Comedy sketches' last night
3 - League Of Gentlemen: Local shop sketch. (fully agreed, overall brilliantly dark comedy programme) 2 - Monty Python - Parrot Sketch (No argument) 1 - F%""$"%"$" Little britain with that retard in the chair. What happened to the UK????!! People used to know what comedy was. Now they suck. So I turned over to MTV2 for some live radiohead  |

Little britain is famed on a bunch of one liners and predictable sketches. Plus the intelligence levels of people who go around quoting it like there's no tommorrow seems to prove the lack of intelligence in their jokes.
Then again Monty Python did a similar thing BETTER years ago, and I still find that funny. League Of Gentlemen movie is going to be interesting btw. |

The classic nose bleed moment. Oh Moaner, the bands website visitor counter just ticked over into 3003, which means in March we had over 920 visitors. |
Little Britain, is ghey.
League of Gentlemen is great, as is Monty Python. Was there anything in there from Goodness Gracious Me? That show was great. I'm annoyed, my lunch won't be cooked 'til 3pm  st00pid frozen pie. |
Yeah, the 'Going out for an English' sketch was there

One of the best sketches ever. me so hungry :( Edit: Whoa, there was far too much from Little Britain in there. |
I posted in that thread, too. Am I special?
Edit: Ben, are you up for another round of BfME? |
Got work in 20 mins, so no time :upset:
Im also annoyed that the Father Ted underwear departement sketch was left out. |
They left out Father Ted? Horrible.
|
I'm off to go play some Starcraft and BfME (tactical strategy day!), so adios.
how much do you love me? :naughty:
:upset: sorry to hear about the pope by the way. I hope your next leader is just as cool.
 (to the first comment) and I'm not exactly very religious myself, tis a shame he died I suppose but it doesn't bother me at all Little Britain has ffunny moments, but being no 1 was a big no-no if you ask me, just cos its the new "in thing". They did have some great stuff in that countdown though |
I want to see that Stonybridge sketch again. It cracke dme up when I was younger, so god knows how badly it will get me now I can make more sense of it
|
Did you not see it?
Oh wait you only saw the last few, yeah twas funny |
It might be repeated on 'shudders' E4. ill check
|

Father Ted is a sit com, that show was for comedy skecthes. So in college, a catholic college, no one seemed to be upset about the pope or anything realy, t'was wierd. The only difference today then any other day is that the flag was flying at halfmast. |
I'm a dope; didn't realize it was only for sketch comedy. Sorry. And that is kinda wierd, isn't it, what with you being at a Catholic college? Or maybe everybody's just taking it eerily well...?
Anyway, first post of the day (for both sides of the pond). Oh, Ben, I literally just finished a fight in BfME. I took on two Easy Mordor and one Medium Isengard - great scott, that was difficult. I took down one of the Mordors, Isengard got the other. Eventually, it came down to Isengard sending in constant, massive waves of Uruks to one side and the Balrog to another, and me sending in wave after wave of summoned things, while trying to maintain an army and keep my heros from getting Balrog'd (happened way too often). After a long time, I took down both Isengard castles and all their little camps. Loss ratio - 10:1 in my favor. My losses total: 710. Theirs: combined, somewhere between 7 and 8 thousand. Yup. It was insane. And I've picked up Starcraft again, which, after playing through seven or eight campaign levels, has left me farily creeped. Great game, but those damn Zerg creep me out. |
Balrog is always fun to fight. No, wait, it isnt. Gandolf or Army Of The Dead are the only defence annoyingly but Army Of Dead > Balrog
And seeing as no one in the instrument wars thread have nerdsih humour, ill try it with you. Guitarists = Zerg. For sheer numbers and the fact only a few are any good. Drummers = Protoss. Amazing, but need a lot of energy to keep it up Bassists = Terran. N00b choice. Plus then the announcer makes more sense "Bass is under attack" |
Yeah, I had to keep summoning the Dead to get rid of the Balrog, until I realized that neither of them last that long, and the Balrog can only take down one Citadel at a time, so why bother? Focus on the enemy instead! CHARGE!
That's hilarious. Very clever, Ben. In fact, I like it so much, I'm gonna quote it and post it in my own forum. I personally prefer to play Protoss. I play Protoss heavy defense, with tons of those defense cannons sitting around the base, plus Carriers, full with 8 little ships each. It was pretty hilarious watching my brother Zergling Rush me and get ripped to shreds. The shocked look on his face was even better. |
Butler you're back already? I'm off til monday still
And I don't imagine many of my mates will care much, it hasn't had a mention in any conversations yet, I imagine if it does it'll be under intoxicated circumstances on Saturday  And Ben, tut tut, bass noob choice, I thought better of you, some of us choose it because its a darn cool instrument with a very cool sound I'll have you know. And plus, how many more are there who go "I like rock/oasis/ *shudders* busted, I'm gonna pick up guitar" huh? HUH? :) twas funny though :p |
