Dude, sweep picking fucking sucks.

I've been working on 6 string sweeps and I absolutely hate my guitar right now.
Sweeping is like playing bass. It's easy to start (i.e. 3 string sweeps) but ****ing impossible to do really well (i.e. 6 or 7 string sweeps).

i am the robots 11-30-2007 01:56 PM

I can do it really well.

Lunch 11-30-2007 01:57 PM

Aakon_Keetreh 11-30-2007 02:16 PM

Im tired

gmoneyguy 11-30-2007 02:16 PM

Haha, when are you not tired?

Aakon_Keetreh 11-30-2007 02:28 PM

Well im really burnt out right now and im tired a lot of the time anyway haha.

TojesDolan 11-30-2007 02:36 PM

I'm completely trashed. I want school to be over.

Most students of my uni are pretty much set to go, except us electronic engineers who happen to have projects due monday. :(

I'm sad.

I used to feel the same. Do you eat a lot of junk food?

Nostalgia 11-30-2007 02:38 PM

I'm like throwing up, so I'm not at school

Aakon_Keetreh 11-30-2007 02:40 PM
I used to feel the same. Do you eat a lot of junk food?
Kinda, but not really. Today ive eaten a nutrient grain bar, celery, cheetos, fries, an egg roll and a chicken nugget, no candy at all.

gmoneyguy 11-30-2007 02:41 PM

The starch is probably making you tired.

Aakon_Keetreh 11-30-2007 02:42 PM

and that fact that im burntout from this morning.

You made that quote up, slanderer :(
**** yeah best song on that album

Also, I got the gig at the high school, so this is very, very cool. I'm excited. I dressed up super classy and while I still can't tie a tie beyond passable status, I got commented on my attire.

So, dudes and ladies, dress spiffy for your interviews. The end.
I wear a suit to all interviews and I never get told I look spiffy :(

Jom 11-30-2007 02:44 PM

I think they felt sorry for me because I look like a tweener, and when they see me in a suit they are reminded of little children dressed up in church suits for their Holy Communion or something, haha.

Nostalgia 11-30-2007 02:44 PM

Very fitting thread title change.

Agreed.

Jom 11-30-2007 02:55 PM

Well the part of the state I'm in now is SUPER conservative and religious. One of the plazas by the school... if the store name has a 't' in it, the 't' is removed for a crucifix.

Not everybody out here is super conservative/religious, but that's the vibe you get. It's totally different on the other side of the state (and country, presumably).

I'd probably kill myself.

gmoneyguy 11-30-2007 02:58 PM

What state? I know what you are talking about, though. I see at least 50 Christian bumper stickers when I drive somewhere.

I like living in the ultra-liberal shell of Ann Arbor

Two of my friends call themselves "Very Liberal" (sup, Stalkbook) and all they do is bitch about the conservatism here. It's like, I understand their beef and everything (one of them stands by her supposedly-original thought that "Christian Democrat" isn't an oxymoron), but it's so repetitive listening to their whining because everytime I tell them they should transfer elsewhere if they're really that pissed off by the conservatism here, they're all like "But I'm already here!" That was a really big sentence. I just think it's pointless to rant about something that doesn't affect you. Bush pretty much sucks on his stances on education, I get it and agree. Learn to deal!

Hahaha.

One of my closest high school friends goes to Notre Dame and hates Michigan.

"Screw you, hippies - go hug a tree!"

Lunch 11-30-2007 03:07 PM

Haha, "Go NAVY!"

I don't complain much because it doesn't accomplish anything. But I do have a lot of "debates" about illegal immigration here. Mostly trying to correct misconceptions about illegal immigrants, not that people actually learn =\
That was a really big sentence.
 I love how you just threw that in the middle.

And yeah, all the "liberal" kids in my area do is complain about conservatives and never actually talk about ANYTHING other than how bad the conservatives are.

And I'm from a mostly working class, liberal area, I mean... BETHLEHEM STEAL AND COPLAY CEMENT FFS.

Lunch 11-30-2007 03:09 PM

part of being liberal is complaining constantly about the status quo
