munky_magik 08-26-2005 12:13 PM

This weekend I shall be working :upset:

Huber 08-26-2005 12:19 PM

I have to find some way to transfer 8 gigs of music from this computer to my other one before Sunday. Any suggestions?

munky_magik 08-26-2005 12:20 PM

Set up a network. Or copy it onto a DVD or two.

How much do DVDs hold?

If you have the money, buy yourself an external hard drive. That way you can transfer it all, plus you'll have a backup of your music in case something ever happens to your computer.

What platform have you got it on?
And have you seen the FF VII addition they're making that's centred on Vincent?

I think it's either 4 or 6GB so it should only take two, unless you have a DVD R/W or Dual Laye DVDs.

Lunch 08-26-2005 12:24 PM

I'm working tonight, all day Saturday, family/friends are coming down on Sunday, then I start school on Monday.

ArcLite 08-26-2005 12:25 PM

I love the Army. I played a golf tournament this morning, and am now off for the rest of the day/weekend. This, while everyone else is working. Good times.

PC, The PS2 one will cost too much money. I cant wait till Dirge of Cerberus comes out.
That sucks about being broke, but man, scarface for 10 bucks? Id pay upwards of 30 for that brilliant piece of film
Brilliant piece of film? WTF?

It's a pretty entertaining flick, and it's fun watching Al Pacino carry the movie as a swaggering Cuban immigrant who talks out the side of his mouth, but it's not "brilliant" by any stretch of the imagination.
Ron Harper still does.

Ron Harper! There's a blast from the past.

My memories of stuff from that time was all hip-hop and some of that post-grunge alt-stuff. Everclear is still a big guilty pleasure of mine

We're they the ones who did hat AM Radio song that was pretty popular a couple years ago?

Ugh. It's catchy but it hurts my ears.

Arrakakaka 08-26-2005 01:56 PM

My iPod is filling up. I need a new one..

MBS 08-26-2005 01:57 PM

Tonight, I'm gonna have a Halo party with my friends.

I have a PS2, my friend has a gamecube, and my other friend has an X-Box, so we've got a lot of 4 players games. But I bet it's going to be mainly Halo.

NP: Under Pressure - David Bowie and Queen

I dunno, but they did "Father of Mine" and "Everything to Everyone", and I really like both of those songs, actually :-\

Get a mini disk player that can play HI-MD disks. Believe me, its the solution. I got mine about two months ago, I've got 30 albums on one disk, and It's about 3/4ths full, and plus, when it does, I can just go to another disk.

Me too, which is sad considering I have about 550 albums on this one :-\

Jom 08-26-2005 02:29 PM

/catches up

Ali: funny RYM review, heh.

Blink-182: I like a couple songs from each album, but only own one album.
Green Day: I liked Nimrod, but haven't bothered to listen to American Idiot or Dookie yet, even though I have them with me.
The Offspring:
Sum 41: couldn't get into them. "Fat Lip" was ooooooooooooooooverplayed.
Good Charlotte: only song I like from them is the song they gave that one MTV animated show. I forget what the show is called, but the song is "The Motivation Proclamation" or something similar. There was that one song that had to do with anti-suicide that was okay, but it was annoying towards the end.
Everclear: also popular because of "Wonderful," but my favorite song of theirs is "When It All Goes Wrong Again." Everclear are fun to listen to.

And etc.

Hello.

I hit randomize by album and just go with that. Sometimes I skip if I'm not in the mood for something (like Indie when I'm pissed or Metal when I wanna relax), but most of the time it's on random and covers all of it :)

That's how I roll with my MP3 player...I have it said on "Play All Tracks" with play mode on "Shuffle", so I tend to listen to a little bit of everything.

they are also fairly high quality ones, but the downside is they take forever to burn.

Exactly. I like it being random, and if I'm in the mood for something, I'm guaranteed to have it too, just in case. Especially stuff like Classical that I'm usually not keen on listening to from class to class.

Man, white people like the craziest movies.

/is white and HATES that film. I was essentially forced to watch it once, even though i knew right from the previews that it was going to be totally stupid and not funny humor. I smirked maybe twice, but that was as far as it went. The movie is up there with Dude Wheres My Car for least funny comedy film ever made.

Then i could put on a movie like, Intermission (irish film in case you never heard of it, has Cillian Murphy and Collin Farrel in it), which is not entirely a comedy, but what humor is thrown in there is brilliant, and be told the film is total shit.

That being said, if you have never seen Intermission, i do reccomend it. Its like 11 smaller stories all lumped together, involving a cop, a ridiculous plan for a bank robbery, and some guy shagging some older woman and getting beaten up during the process (which has a hilarious part of it i wont give away when he decides to leave).

As far as white people watching lame movies, id say ND is more of a "college person film" instead of a white film. The problem is the movies that appeal to college kids these days arent good, like lets say Animal House was.

Not yet.

She was very old, 99 actually. But she had Alzheimer's, she didn't seem that lively when I saw her. I didn't think she was even close to death though. I'm probably going to have to leave Sunday morning for the funeral on Monday. But for some reason right now, I'm more shocked that sad. I'm not on the verge of tears, I just feel sort of empty.

I laughed like 2-3 times during Napoleon Dynamite. Dumb movie. Than I watched it again and I had to leave the room 5 minutes into it.

Sorry Kurtz. That sucks dude.

The funniest movie i have seen recently is Wedding Crashers. If I was gay i would totally go for Vince Vaughn.
