What should I do with my life? I'm currently a history major that is doing a 5 year program at the Erie campus of Penn State, but I don't know if I'll be able to afford another year of school (especially since the fifth year of the program has to be at a more expensive school nearby) and I'm tempted to now be a sociology major at University Park. I realize that I honestly love sociology as a field and I read about it more in my spare time than almost anything else related to academics. I think I might enjoy this life path better, but I don't know how far behind I would be if I switched majors now. Also, I love Erie Pennsylvania. Counsel me, MX.

I have no clue what I'm going to do. I get the feeling I'll end up staying here even though I would like to study sociology, it's just a lot more convenient if I stick with history.

I've looked into it. Best job seems to be working for a research firm who will get hired out to find the effects of large scale decisions on communities or groups of people. I would probably end up going into teaching anyways.
