Who else thinks that Ride the Lightning was Metallica's best album? I sure do.
i think it was the best, cause it shows works from hetfield, ulrich, hammett, burton and mustaine, besides it was produced by Metallica and the songs have an awesome estructure, diferent than the others albums.

DaveTheAmazing 05-23-2005 01:42 PM

In S&M, during Nothing Else Matters, did James play an acoustic or electric?

KillemAllforOne83 05-23-2005 01:57 PM

accoustic
he even played the solo on it

LarsAgi007 05-23-2005 02:22 PM
accoustic

Yes, it was an electro-acoustic, I must add Jaymez did an awesome job at the solo on Nothing else matters.

And to RustedPieces:

There is not really much to talk about untill the new release early next year. I cannot wait for the release, I have managed to get a few demos, and 'yes' Once again it is a total change in music. Its going to be alot more heavy this time, and the drums and guitar sound like the band spent alot on them, Not like they got them from a cheap charity shop hehe, To be quite honest I like the piccolo snare used in S.t Anger, I often use a replica for gigs.

vashts80 05-23-2005 02:27 PM

Can somebody explain how you get demos if they're still apparently on vacation?

Right here

fatbandit 05-23-2005 02:32 PM

Dude, if Metallica leaked demos, wouldn't there be a bigger buzz about it than just you knowing? And why not YSI them for us? :)
Can somebody explain how you get demos if they're still apparently on vacation?
Pretty simple, Metallica have, and always will use spare material left over from the previous album... They must have loads of riffs on paper! And yes they having a break from recording, don't mean to say they are not jamming, ect:

Metallica posted the demos on there website They always update it, If you go to their home page linked above, and click the Metallivault link you can preview them yourself, I cannot yousendit them because I am currently having sound problems with my computer, I managed to uninstall my sound card thinking it was a digi-Cam  I am hoping to correct my sound in the next couple of days, when I can do so I will be more than happy to post them on here for you.

fatbandit 05-23-2005 02:53 PM

Do you need a soundcard to YSI? Surely you can just upload? Ah well.

is it downtuned?

Endless Obsession 05-23-2005 03:26 PM
is it downtuned?
Probobly somewhat because James cant sing as high anymore so they have to play lower.

Thor 05-23-2005 03:28 PM

I'm pretty sure it was an acoustic guitar.

Can anyone send me S&M? I really want to get that album, but just spent all of my money last night.

Kickflip_Burrito 05-23-2005 03:33 PM

What do you think is the best song on S&M? For me its either No Leaf Clover, Battery or One.

madlyinangerwithu 05-23-2005 03:38 PM

battery has the best intro but MOP is probably the best done song on their

RustedPieces 05-23-2005 03:38 PM

I like Hero of the Day or One.

Kickflip_Burrito 05-23-2005 03:40 PM

Oh, Fuel is pretty good on S&M too, Kirk's guitar slide sounding like a racecar and Lars' drumming make the song so cool.

RustedPieces 05-23-2005 03:44 PM

The solo for The House That Jack Built is probably the weirdest solo I have ever heard Kirk do.

Kickflip_Burrito 05-23-2005 03:51 PM

I love that solo, its so much different yet sounds so cool.

Thor 05-23-2005 03:57 PM
