Well!

The 57th Medical Failure is on vacation

Charming isn't ! Unless I get banned on here too

Lesbian_Seagull 09-05-2006 02:19 AM

Prince Charming has to be the gayest name since Lesbian Seagull.

And I just read how Alexi's signature guitar only has one pickup, just bridge position. I did not know that, but that makes some goddamn sense.

Although I do like using the neck pickup for practicing leads.

Nostalgia 09-05-2006 02:21 AM

You guys have a weird love/hate relationship.

Yep.
That's actually one of the reasons I might be buying one :p

hah well, I'm the same way of course, because riffing in neck position just sounds so...I don't know, what's the word I'm looking for...it's just too light a tone for heavy riffing. But then again you can't really get TOO good a clean tone when soloing with the pickup in bridge position.

Hallelujah for the gain boost on my DKMG though.

What's the point of that one pickup there?
You guys have a weird love/hate relationship.
haha. That we do.

Lesbian_Seagull 09-05-2006 02:31 AM
What's the point of that one pickup there?
What do you mean?

He never uses the neck pickup, so there was no need for a neck pickup on his signature guitar. Therefore there is no neck pickup.

Ohh right. That makes sense. I never use my neck pickup either. I forget the term, it's closest to the bridge. Bridge pickup right?

Lesbian_Seagull 09-05-2006 02:34 AM

Right you are.

Miek 09-05-2006 02:35 AM

Well, I'm either buying one of the Alexi LTD's or a new amp, namely a 6505.

Prince Charming 09-05-2006 02:37 AM
Right you are.
yerp.

NP Tool

Trev, what do you think of Alexi's guitar? Overpriced for what you're getting?

Apocalyptic Raids 09-05-2006 02:39 AM

If was paying the amount of dollars one does for a Laiho signature, I would bloody well want a neck pickup.

Miek 09-05-2006 02:40 AM

It's a little overpriced unless you know where to shop :amaze:

>_>
<_<

srs @ me getting the Alexi much cheaper than what it says
unless you're talking full blown ESP.
which I would never buy because the price hike has put most of their guitars beyond what was once in my reach.
Not to mention the Sig Series aren't made in the custom shop anymore.

Lesbian_Seagull 09-05-2006 02:41 AM

Anything's overpriced for my broke ass.

Prince Charming 09-05-2006 02:41 AM

It just seems really expensive for what you get.

For that much, I'd just have a perfect custom built.

Trev, What guitars do you have, play?

Lesbian_Seagull 09-05-2006 02:46 AM
Trev, What guitars do you have, play?
I have crap, pretty much. Except for my Jackson DKMG. That's the only one I really play anymore.

Les Paul Ripoff
BC Rich Warlock (of course)
1958 Vintage Ovation Tornado (i like that one actually...but it sucks for metal, maybe if I was in a rockabilly band it'd be cool)
Ibanez Artist
Fender Stratocaster (my older brother stole it from me, that cunt.)

Miek 09-05-2006 02:47 AM

I'm just happy I've got my LTD, otherwise I'd still be playing my Dot for everything. the Dot isn't really a metalz guitar.
