Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See

biografiend 01-09-2007 05:33 PM
how is benoit pioulards whole cd compared to the song on the album review? because i didnt like the song on the album review, it sounded like he was aping grandaddy and doing a bad job of it.
It really doesnt remind me of Grandaddy at all. Upon more listenings, its not something I'll probably get obsessed with, but it's a nice drive/relax album.

Electrocution 01-09-2007 06:24 PM

I've been alternating between Envy and Fly Pan Am for the last couple of hours. it's going to be hard to find something to listen to after i stop this marathon.

Puppets- Hum

Ok, seriously, This is one of Hum's best songs, and hardly anyone has heard it. It's a B-Side from the Downward is Heavenward era (I think). Go find it.

Glitterati 01-09-2007 09:05 PM

Cocteau Twins - Peel Sessions

Zmev 01-09-2007 10:53 PM

Slint - Spiderland

Robert Crumb 01-09-2007 11:48 PM

Sean Price - Jesus Price Supastar
Nara Lećo - Nara
Sally Shapiro - Disco Romance

ATM 01-09-2007 11:51 PM

Ooh I need that Sean Price. Is it better then Monkey Barz?

Robert Crumb 01-09-2007 11:57 PM

Eh, it's about even with Monkey Barz I think. Except this has a promobot on it, so that's throwing me off. Worth checking out though, lemme see if I can find the link again.

ATM 01-09-2007 11:58 PM

Sweet, thanks.

Robert Crumb 01-10-2007 12:11 AM

hmm, i should check it out. i still think DIH is their best album, way better than the one with their one-hit on it.

anyway, i can't believe how long it took me to realize that Panic At the Disco is just a Cursive knockoff. i guess you already knew :(

The Beatles - Revolver
Das EFX - The Best Of

I'm convinced that Das EFX have to be one of the most underrated hip hop groups ever.

Kyle 01-10-2007 06:31 AM

Aswad - A New Chapter of Dub
The Only Ones - Special View

Also;
Red Seal - Black Ops
^^Just found this on a blog, can't find out much about it on the internet but there's some really sweet ambient/dub music on here.

Iai 01-10-2007 08:16 AM

Is it worth checking out The Only Ones? I spent ages trying to find out who did "Another Girl, Another Planet" - Google took me to loads of Blink-182 and Replacements songs. I adore that song.
Is it worth checking out The Only Ones? I spent ages trying to find out who did "Another Girl, Another Planet" - Google took me to loads of Blink-182 and Replacements songs. I adore that song.
Well they don't have any other songs as good "Another Girl, Another Planet", but I downloaded Special View just to have the song on my computer and was pleasantly suprised by the rest of the CD. So i'd say yeah, if it's not too dificult for you to track down this album is worth checking out.
