Oh I tried earplugs again at practice. My ears were fine but got complained at because I couldn't hear myself too well I was apparently cranking the distortion too high. Think I'm going to have to level up without plugs for 5 mins or so to get **** right. Also found it difficult to distinguish between riffs... that was probably my own inept ears though.

Because, apparently (HA!), our dogs bark sometimes when no one is home. And they bark quite loudly. And we live in an apartment, so people complained.

I've learned that they can't legally kick us out over this because they don't have recorded proof, but we're moving anyway. We already found a new place, a house, that's only $100 more than what we're paying here per month. It's going to be sick.

In my current band only one member has gigged and me, the singer/guitarist and the drummer have never gigged.

So the drummer goes about looking for a gig and says that the slots at this pub are 20 mins on some band night and so 20 mins sounds great, right? Well he decides to have a word with the organiser and despite being unknown and never gigged he manages to swing us the headline spot for the night and an hour slot! LMAO, we only have like 2 riffs we've written and no structure. Let the good times roll.

Good luck to you man just bust your *** this could make or break your band... Hell my first gig we didn't even get to play the owner ended up giving our half our to this other band who sounded bloody awful and I'm pretty tolerant of live gigs and such... Hope it all goes well for you...

My computer crashed last night. :upset: I hope my hard drives are okay, because my power supply is definitely a goner (literally started smoking) and my motherboard wasn't acting normally on startup (didn't recognize the brand of my CPU anymore). Then it just shut off.

I've heard that they are good, but I couldn't tell ya. The SamAsh near me has one StingRay and there's no point in trying to form an opinion based on guitars at Guitar Center (with 50-year old dead strings, horrible intonation, ridiculously high action, and lots of kids blaring there versions of "Eruption" in the background.

I dunno never like stingrays. I mean, they get a nice tone but they don't feel comfortable to play at all imo and they are definitely not worth the $1000+ list price for sure. I'd take a Schecter or especially a Carvin over it any day

Did you just intentionally name my two main bass brands? :p

I'm not much of a 4-string guy, but the tone and feel of the Stingray is phenomenal, IMO. I agree that it's not $1k+ worthy (I rarely find a bass that is), but it's certainly $400 worthy - and that's what I paid.
