The vocals kill me on F.O.A.D.
|
Yeah except for missing out on a 10/10 metal album.
I'm not going to take your word that it's THAT good, since you over hype absolutely everything. |
I'm not going to take your word that it's THAT good, since you over hype absolutely everything.
I really don't. It's that good. Trust me. |
your not missing much. Other than there new punk/crust sound.
That isn't FOAD that's Cult is Alive. |
F.O.A.D. is like in the 6/10 range. Calling it 10/10 is just overkill.
|
ill overkill you
|

Well I'm infinity/10, so stfu
|
how can it be infinite if it's out of 10
|
how about you all stfu
I still need to get my hands on the new Darkthrone. I only heard the sampler that was put of Canadien Metal before the album was released. |
hehehe, NWOBHM was a fantastic release. All the songs were great. I think the last song on there was a cover... does anyone know who it was originally by?
|
It's not a cover.
|
It's not a cover.
That's strange, the style of that last song is so completely detached from all of Darkthrone's other stuff, including the other songs on that EP that I assumed it was a cover. Oh well, I'll probably end up d/ling F.O.A.D. today or tomorrow. NP: High on Fire- Come Down Hessians |
4. Bad Attitude (Testors Cover)
The last song is a cover. |
I'm 95% sure it's not, no reference in the booklet and no song of the same name found on M-A that would be covered by darkthrone.
EDIT: ****, I thought we were talking about F.O.A.D. Stormrider is right. |
 I was gonna say, "It was on the flyers for The Cult Is Alive..."
|
Thanks Jammie.
Heh, it was an honest mistake, right Anton? |
Yeah, all these abbreviations as Darkthrone album names gets confusing.
|
ugh oh gice, i now question what anton is truly listening to.
|
probably NON-ANALOG MUSICS
|
albums that aren't on tape.
|
Man, this Samael album is great.
NP Poison Infiltration |
Man, this Samael album is great.
NP Poison Infiltration
which one? i heard Worship Him was really good, i'm going to get that one. the previous X/10 discussion ranked a 9/10 on my "funny scale". i can't wait any more, I'm downloading FOAD now. anyone like Arckanum? i got an album by them today, its amazing. It has some calm parts and then a lot of really aggressive parts. i like the atmosphere of it. |
which one?
At a guess, I'd think Blood Ritual which has the song Poison Infiltration on it. But ya know, that's just me. |
Blood Ritual.

oh, i'm sorry. i wasn't in the mood to go do some MA research when stormrider was just going to tell me about 5 seconds later. |
4 minutes later, man.
And seriously, does it take you that long to load up google and just search "Poison Infiltration"? |
/lazy. i'm going to get Worship Him or that one now though.
FOAD is downloading, i'll contribute my opinion on it tomorrow. edit: not sure if i'm the only one who hears it, but there's definitely a Mercyful Fate influence on tracks like "The Church of Real Metal" on FOAD. i'm liking the album so far. |
ugh oh gice, i now question what anton is truly listening to.
Pretty much anything tbh. I already stated that I'm tired of most black metal and will listen to pretty much anything these days. |
which 'ambient' bm bands do you guys recomend? (like summoning, even if no band is so good as they are :p)
|

isn't that more or less the entire point of FOAD? |

Vinterriket, Paysage d'Hiver, Elffor, Forest Silence, Mortiis, Darkspace. About Arckanum, very average imo. |
I don't like how hardcore influenced black metal is with the gay screamo vocals omg.
