This definitely has to do with the story. The horse says Shabutie for Christ's sake, how can it not?

B 01-18-2006 07:03 AM
The suffering doesn't have anything to do with the story. It's more a display of their love for sci-fi stuff.
Where did you read that? That doesn't make sense that they would do another video for that reason that was what Blood Red Summer was for.

DJ Ducksauce 01-18-2006 06:35 PM

He's saying that's what it looks like me thinks. It looks like it is though. Sci-fi and mythology.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-18-2006 06:43 PM

How do you know hes saying thats what he thinks it didn't sound like that to me.

DJ Ducksauce 01-18-2006 06:57 PM

Well, whatever. He can tell us when he gets back.

The Suffering video doesn't have much to do with the story. I am 95% sure about that.

B 01-18-2006 06:59 PM

I don't know where I read it but I did, and it has nothing to do with the story. Even if I hadn't read it that's what I would think. Have you even watched the video?

Not eveything they do has to do with the story, I'm sure they're just having some fun. No need to snap at Justin either, especially considering he was kind of right.

But the "A Favor House Atlantic" video was based on the story???

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 01-18-2006 09:03 PM

The Suffering was based on some 80's Sci-Fi movie. It has nothing to do with the story, as said just to show their love for Sci-Fi. Claudio said it. I read it on the MTV website in Semptember.
But the "A Favor House Atlantic" video was based on the story???
How so? Brandon take things less seriously I didn't mean to sound nasty to Justin I was just saying it didn't sound like thats what you were saying. I realize that everything they do doesn't have to do with the story barely any of their videos do anyways....

halfdeadhippo 01-19-2006 03:29 PM

 Josh just said "shit" on national television.

DJ Ducksauce 01-19-2006 05:53 PM

On what?

The FCC will be on his ***. Actually, maybe not. I know that TBS doesn't edit "shit" much anymore. But again, that's on movies.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-19-2006 08:57 PM

I missed their TRL thing.

chumpradio 01-21-2006 01:19 PM

/me is currently learning all of Welcome Home on guitar
So far I've got the first parts of the solo by Claudio and Travis pretty tight. It sounds amazing playing it. I'll definately use it when I need to show off to other guitarists.

DJ Ducksauce 01-21-2006 08:22 PM

I've never gotten around to learning all of the solo. I have part of the beginning and some of the end. Just never got around to learning it all.

chumpradio 01-22-2006 07:36 AM

Go over to http://www.myspace.com/punkrockvids to watch the TRL performance of The Suffering with Michelle Nolan on backing vocals.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 01-22-2006 02:21 PM

That was a pretty cool performance. I would also like to see the interview.

chumpradio 01-24-2006 04:21 AM
That was a pretty cool performance. I would also like to see the interview.
I like how the host says the whole album name. It makes her look pretty weird because she's going on for ages, she could have just said Good Apollo, or Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV.

Henrik 01-24-2006 03:31 PM

Hey, I got a newbie question :D.
I just bought In keeping secrets... used. Why is my front cover different than any other covers I've seen? It's something with a planet or something.

B 01-24-2006 03:32 PM

The real version comes with a little ocover over the actual cd. that is the real cover.

DJ Ducksauce 01-24-2006 07:41 PM

Yeah, the one with Earth is the actual cover. The one with the moon and the clouds is an over cover.

That performance on TRL was good. I laughed when she called the song "I'm Suffering"

Alf™ 01-24-2006 09:57 PM

Haha. What you Coheed and Cambria fans think of this.
Coheed & Cambria
Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness
This band stinks of lame more than a ****s’ dying breath. Ok… Truth be told, I haven’t heard this album. I simply CAN’T!!! Why?! Well, after hearing their new single, while staring in disbelief like a hypnotized mental patient at the video (which shows the singer’s clown wig of a hair-don’t on purpose), I discovered they have the most pretentious… No wait, preposterous, album title ever created, “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume 1: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness”. Do you ****ing believe it??? No really, that’s it. These guys like comic books and role-playing games. Do we need to explain any further? It’s as if this band has absolutely no understanding of the honesty, originality, groove, personality, luxury, obligation, empathy, and sexuality that is rock n’ roll. Yet, they possess an almost idiot savant like grasp of a guaranteed lifetime of virginity. This tuneless, vacuous concept music is as useful as a video diary of the band members braiding dickheads. Imagine, all the longwinded musical douche drinking of the band Yes, minus the musicianship, the message of love, and the excuse of being British. We strongly suggest you take our advice on this one and immediately, perpetually ignore these ****bags, until they dry up like the turds they are, and blow away in the fart wind of their retarded imaginations.
AND
Coheed & Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Concept albums are almost always a sure sign of ****tyness, but imagine if one among the hordes of nu-emo / metal bands attempted to create their genres "Tommy" or something, except this time the concept is kinda like Star Trek, but turn the "dork" knob up to 11. Who would've thought we'd ever see the day that "prog-emo" came to fruition, fronted by a troll that sounds like Geddy Lee, and a band that sounds like two guitar players dueling it out in an Indiana Guitar Center? Dorkfest.
DJ Ducksauce 01-24-2006 11:51 PM

I think that guy can go die. :D

And since when is Co&Ca British?

Some guys are idiots. :p

Pazz 01-25-2006 02:41 PM

I agree with Justin. :p

thedeadwalk! 01-25-2006 04:02 PM

At least he's creative in his critique....though, wrong...but very creative.

Alf™ 01-26-2006 03:44 AM

They. Not "he". Several people. They have pretty fair points.

poo-poo-pee-pee 01-26-2006 04:50 AM

I actually agree with very few parts of that. Not the annoying, stupid ranting, but he did make a few good points, amongst the ****...
Though I don't really like Co&Ca, which may be why...

Those are cool though. Nice GM cover especially.
