Bling Guardian - ghetto power metal? That would be brilliant :p

What sort of DVD is it going to be?

sensitiveorgan00 06-26-2004 10:06 AM

New Kreator Video!

A 34-second Quicktime clip of KREATOR singer Mille Petrozza laying down the vocal tracks for the new song "Enemy of God" at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap has been posted online at this location (3.2 MB)www.blabbermouth.net/kreator2.mov . The veteran German thrashers are expected to record 12 songs towards the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2001's "Violent Revolution", tentatively due in the fall. "All rhythms are now complete, solos done and as of today we are six vocals finished, another six to go, Sneap told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Mille flies home next Wednesday, I finally get a couple of days off, then mix and master. So it should all be wrapped up by second week in July. There's no release date from SPV just yet."

Might make a thread about this as well get more people to read it

enjoy im going to go download it

LordDargon 06-26-2004 12:56 PM

FatalEnergy 06-26-2004 01:22 PM

Kreator and Testaments albums should really be somrthing to look forward to.
but right now I'm really hooked on Kick The Chair so I'm really expecting the new Megadeth to be good

LordDargon 06-26-2004 01:25 PM

I am expecting the new Kreator and Testaments to pwn the new Megadeth.

Kreator 06-26-2004 02:00 PM

really? :D

Jon 06-26-2004 02:12 PM

Megadeth are so sucky...

Even Miik pwns them.

DisposableHeroes 06-26-2004 02:18 PM

is the new exodus guy better than Paul Baloff?

Jon 06-26-2004 02:36 PM

Actually its just Steve Souza :thumb:

I've been listening to some old live Exodus, and IMO Baloff (RIP) was crappy compared to Souza.

DisposableHeroes 06-26-2004 02:40 PM

thats the one

Paul is a tad crap, but thats what makes him good. If you get me, Kirk Hammet gives a better explanation. But yeah i downloaded some samples of the new Exodus album, and i must say Steve may not have Paul's charisma but he sounds suited to Pal's voice.

Ratmevilempire 06-26-2004 04:44 PM
is the new exodus guy better than Paul Baloff?
what do you mean "the new exodus guy", Steve Sousa has been with Exodus longer than Paul Baloff

dead56k 06-26-2004 11:46 PM
Megadeth are so sucky...

im not a big megadeth fan...but they dont totally suck. i think theyre allright.

a8o 06-27-2004 01:22 AM

I used to think they sucked till I accidently left my cd player playing their Killing Is Business and Business is Good LP on repeat while I slept. I woke up a fan (of that album) only to move onto their revered classic "Peace Sells"

TallicaChic 06-27-2004 01:38 AM

that's pretty trippy man....buy hey..whatever works right? lol get countdown to extinction..very good album

southofheaven666 06-27-2004 01:40 AM

Badmoon 06-27-2004 01:44 AM

No offense, but has anyone got the idea that, this clan really isn't that unique anymore.

clown_phobia 06-27-2004 01:54 AM

I wanna join!! Titans of Thrash(M)

Thrash_Metal_Forever 06-27-2004 02:40 AM
It matters what album of Celtic frost you are going to talk about, because some is and some isn't, The first three albums Morbid Tales, To Mega Therion and Into The Pandamonium are all a mixture of black, pre-death, thrash, and avant-garde metal so yes I would put them in the thrash catagory, then out crawled Cold Lake their fourth album, which was a lot softer, the music was not glam/hair metal as their image became, but it was much much lacking the aggression that it did. Everyone I know bashes this album to the ground, in fact even Tom Warrior said this album was crap, personally I like the music good even though it was a lot more mellow and their image sucked, next was a decent follow up was returning more to the older stuff, but not completly with the album Vanity/Nemisis. Celtic Frost, if you personally consider them thrash or not are still a really good band(one of my favs). So GO CHECK THEM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I say start of with To Mega Therion to get a good feel for them)
Kool, thanks dude!

Later,
Casey
has anyone heard of lawnmower deth? i heard they wre thrash but dont really know. if uve heard them are they a good listen?
hahaha! my stepdad has a Vinyl of Lawnmower Deth. I've never listened to it mind you....I'll have a listen tomorrow and put my opinion up. I think they're a joke band though, but I 'll still have a gander.

Vortigon 06-27-2004 04:53 AM
Yeah, it rocked.

But now I'm getting ready for Exodus, so I'll post both tomorrow.

But, Testament setlist as far as I can remember:

DNR
Low
Electric Crown
May or may not be riding the snake?
True Believer
The Haunting
Burnt Offerings
Alone in The Dark
Into The Pit
Some other stuff which I've forgotten.

No Hail Mary or Sewn Shut Eyes :upset:
The only ones I can remember that you've left out are:

3 Days In Darkness
Over The Wall
Disciples of the Watch

Disciples... with the original New Order solo, not the slightly-less-mind-blowing lead off First Strike...

Also, how awesome was DiGiorgio's double necked bass? I love Testament.

Kreator 06-27-2004 05:09 AM

that's a short setlist

LordDargon 06-27-2004 05:25 AM

To convo 1 page back:

'Deth are in the Big 4 for a reason, they're unique and they thrash their as.ses off.

Baloff > all

Vortigon 06-27-2004 05:52 AM
that's a short setlist
There were more, I was just very drunk so I don't remember it all.

Kreator 06-27-2004 05:58 AM

well then ;)
