Reptile was possibly the greatest few minutes of live music i have ever experienced. The drums and synths just seem to put the whole crowd into some sort of strange trance.
NIN live>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NIN DVD
Yes, I agree..NIN live >>> DVD. The live DVDs they've put out are fantastic but still do no justice for their actual live show. And Reptile is freakin' amazing live! I've only seen them perform that song twice. Once during soundcheck and later during the actual show. 'Twas nice. np: The Greater Good |
How many songs from YZ did they do on the most recent tour?
all I can remeber is Survivalism. |
^I think it was only Survivalism and The Beginning of the End.
|
Heresy, March of The Pigs & Ruiner are my favourite NIN songs right now, i reckon they would be amazing live.
March of the Pigs is absolutely IMMENSE live. Can't speak for Ruiner. |
^I think it was only Survivalism and The Beginning of the End.
Those and The Good Soldier are probably my favourite songs off the album.
March of the Pigs is absolutely IMMENSE live. Can't speak for Ruiner.
I bet it is. Awesome song. |
Best NIN song for me is either/or:
Hurt We're In This Together The Great Below |
^We're in this Together Now is an awesome song. Wish I could have heard it live at least once. I don't know if I could actually pick out my favorite NIN song(s). No, yes I can..my favorite NIN song is And All That Could Have Been.
After that, I'm not sure. I've always really loved The Becoming, Just Like You Imagined, and The Big Come Down. |
Yeah the instrumental stuff is awesome.

^
The Big Come Down is a good song..not too good live though...at least I didn't think so.
Yeah the instrumental stuff is awesome.
Indeed. All the instrumentals he's done on every album are excellent. Leaving Hope from Still is another one of my favorite instrumentals. A Warm Place and Complication are awesome as well, but JLYI has always been my favorite one. There's a video floating around of the band rehearsing this song a few years back..I like watching it every once in a while. |
Some of my favorites (just off the top of my head):
A Warm Place/Eraser Just Like You Imagined The Day The World Went Away The Frail Beside You In Time (the ending is so epic) What albums are All The Could Have Been and The Great Below on? I can't find them on my computer, I thought I had all of them though. |
Heresy.
That song is the bomb, i can listen to it anytime and never get sick of it. It's a perfect fusion of the NIN electronica elements and digital distortion to me. |
^Yeah, I forgot to mention Beside You In Time as well.
And All That Could Have Been is on Still and The Great Below is on the left disc of The Fragile |
Great Below - The Fragile
All That Could Have Been - All That Could Have Been |
Weird. I never had The Great Below on here, but I have the disc here and just ripped it on to my computer. Pretty cool so far.
I don't think I have Still. |
Great Below is unreal, one of his darkest songs.
|
I have a link for STILL if you'd like?
|
Sounds good. Thanks :)
Yeah that was a pretty dark song. I really liked Trent's vocals in the middle when he screams "the great below". |
I just need to look for the link. I'll post up in a few mins.
Edit: Here you go, Still. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AU2OJPG5 Hmm. Maybe I should send it in for the DU. I don't think it's been sent out in quite some time now. |
Yeah, the only time it was in the DU was when I upped it back in December.
|
My favourites are:
La Mer Closer Every day is exactly the same |
March Of The Pigs
The Beginning Of The End Terrible Lie Top 3 . |
Terrible Lie is growing on me as a favourite.

If any of you have been checking out the ARG, and are registered on ETS or The Spiral, I suggest you check out their forums ASAP. We've found a round-up website, that includes a list of contacts which contains all the forum-member's names. It's too damn cool.

If any of you guys use garage band, you might be interested in this:

That song was one that really actually took me a while to get into. Now I think it's wonderful. But for some reason I always found it kind of boring until I heard it live..and that was awesome. Still, I think my favorite track off PHM has to be Sin. Is every single member of ETS suppose to be on that list? I don't see my name on there...yet. With my luck I'll probably be executed or deceased. :upset: |
Not every member, as it turns out. We're trying to figure out what the criteria for being on the list is.
|
****ing incredible what he's doing here. And getting more incredible with every day.
|
Is the new dvd worth getting???
|
Hell yes.
