Prize Fighter Inferno. They had one song-"I'm Going to Kill You". It was an acoustic song. I haven't seen anything else though.

B 10-10-2005 11:33 AM

Prize Fighter Inferno. Claudio's side project.

Mute Print 10-10-2005 11:34 AM

I never heard about a side project. It would be cool if he continued on with it.

DJ Ducksauce 10-10-2005 11:35 AM

They have the song on Cobalt and I saw it on SLSK.

Society Sellout 10-10-2005 12:24 PM

Woo hoo going to see them tonight! Hopefully it will be rocking awesome, I'm soo pumped.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-10-2005 12:47 PM
Nice avatar.

I think IKSOSE3 is much better, but I haven't given the new album much of a chance yet.
Yeah, it's definetley a grower though, i'm in love with Good Apollo now...

Mute Print 10-10-2005 12:48 PM

I really need to listen to it again. After I'm through with Enema of the State, I will.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-10-2005 02:45 PM

Ya thats how I was with SSTB too.

hey, you're not cory! 10-10-2005 07:48 PM
I never heard about a side project. It would be cool if he continued on with it.
I was disappointed when I heard it was a side project. I was hoping he'd put it off and they could do something about The Prize Fighter after they finished the initial story.

TMA 10-11-2005 01:15 AM

Just saw the show here in Portland, Oregon. To f*cked up to make big post. Talk more later.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-11-2005 05:41 AM

Way to go dude!!!!!!!! I bet it was tight!

cobert 10-11-2005 10:09 AM
That was taken from the November 2005 Alternative Press. I found it interesting, yet still a little confusing. Claudio also states in the interview, that "Good Apollo, I'm burning star IV" pretty much is Claudio (the character) saying "I'm here to destroy everything"...hope you guys find this interesting and helpful
I really need to subscribe to AP. And i kinda figured thats what im burning star IV means.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-11-2005 10:15 AM

Apollo 1 and Apollo 2 and like exactly the asmae :-/

cobert 10-11-2005 10:20 AM
Apollo 1 and Apollo 2 and like exactly the asmae :-/
Almost the same. Apollo 2 adds the extra parts and has 'come on bitch why arent you laughing now' (The best lyric ever) as the main chorus part thing.

Yeah dude, it was like a 7 page story on Coheed...I've read it about 4 times now

What are Apollo 1 and 2..?

Angry Balled Fists! 10-11-2005 01:44 PM

Songs from the new album, they're stupid, 2 songs basically exactly the same.

YDload 10-11-2005 01:51 PM

They're not stupid, they're a good song. I'm glad I can hear it twice on one album, especially since the second time adds some significant bridge work to the mix. Very epic chorus, lots of "whoa-oh-oo-oh-oh" going on.

Angry Balled Fists! 10-11-2005 01:53 PM

Bleh, i think it's pointless but whatever.

It's a good album though, bette than what i first thought.

It is a part of the story. Claudio is writing the story, so he feels that having the songs very similar adds to the effect.

Coheed and Cambria to add new member!
Dave Parker, long time friend of Coheed and Cambria drummer Joshua Eppard, will be fielding rhythm guitar and keyboard duties for the band's fall tour. He in large part played a role in the success of Eppard's hip-hop side-project, "Weerd Science", and also has a band of his own called "Divest", which are now taking a break.

Coheed And Cambria are currently touring in support of their latest album, "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star V - Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness," released September 20th through Columbia Records. The album is steeped in the classic rock of the band members' youth, according to Josh Eppard.

"Playing that kind of stuff is very exciting for us," Eppard said in a statement. "We're really going back to our roots and giving a nod to people who inspired us to make music in the first place, whether it be Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Police or something else entirely."

Dave Parker will play for the following Coheed And Cambria tour dates, according to CobaltandCalcium.com:

10/11 - Vancouver, British Columbia
10/12 - Seattle, WA
10/14 - San Francisco, CA
10/19 - Las Vegas, NV
10/20 - San Diego, CA

Hope this wasn't posted already.

DJ Ducksauce 10-11-2005 05:37 PM

It's been up on Cobalt for a while now, :p but that's cool.

Society Sellout 10-11-2005 10:54 PM

Yup the Portland show WAS amazing. The only part I didn't really like was final cut though :/. It was neat that they went a little longer than the recorded version but they just kept going and going it lasted probably a good 20 min and it was a little rediculous I eventually just left and stood outside for a while. Yeah but other than that it was totally awesome.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-12-2005 06:22 AM

I find that hard to believe that they played The Final Cut for 20 minutes. I'm guessing that is an exaggeration because in Chicago they ended with The Final Cut and they went longer than the recorded version but it was only like 9 minutes or so. That would be pretty crazy.

That was a wicked show.
And yeah, the song pretty much did literally go on for that long. It was long enough to see Mic lose his interest in the song and just lean back on the pole and chill for a bit.
"I want to thank you all for coming back... and I wanna thank this pole for coming back too."
The low point of the night for me had nothing to do with Coheed, which is a good thing. It was seeing some chick get really f*cked up in the Blood Brothers pit.
W3rd

Society Sellout 10-12-2005 09:27 AM

Oh yeah and waiting for coheed to come on for about 10 min wasn't too fun either.

the whole time Blood Brothers was playing I was thinking "They need to get off the stage now so that coheed can play" :P.

I only caught the last 1/3 of Mewithoutyou's set which made me mad because I really wanted to see more of them.

I actually kind of liked Blood Brothers just because it was something different. I mean, it isn't different to scream and sh*t, but the music itself was. A nice blend of Funk, Psy Rock, and Hardcore. I enjoyed it. Heh... actually litening to one of their songs right now.
MewithoutYou was just ok in my opinion. I wasn't a huge fan of the singer. It wasn't so much of singing as it was doing slam poetry over music. But again, the music was pretty good.
I loved Dredg. That right there is an amazing band. All around good. Their opening song (which I've now come to find is called Ode To The Sun) was just kicking my ***. That guitar riff was fantastic. And the one song where the singer played the slide guitar with the drumstick... wicked.
And of course, Coheed was the best. The set was almost flawless. I just wish they would have played The Crowing. It was funny though. I was with a group of people I knew, and out of the four or five of us, I was the only one who knew any of the songs off of SSTB. They only knew IKSSE:3 and Good Apollo I.
And now, my neck hurts like a bitch, and I have an Opeth show to go to tonight.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-12-2005 03:16 PM

I did like The Blood Brothers, like you said there was a girl who get hurt, there was this small black guy in our pit and I saw him and then I looked for him like at a break and he was gone haha. I agree I don't like mewithoutYou because of their vocals. He doesn't sing, and that band doesn't have very good stage presence.

The_Red_Death 10-12-2005 04:53 PM

I'm ever so pissed I missed the Vancouver show. And to top it off, my brother's friend got to go to the concert for free, AND interview the band after! I'm missing too many good concerts. I missed Alexisonfire and Underoath, Strung Out, and now Coheed. I would have missed the first three for the chance to see Coheed live though.
