They are really dark and dry generally, but sound complex. I don't really like them all that much. They are no more expensive than regular Ks, but regular Ks sound way better imo. Just a matter of musical tastes really.

which cymbals are better for metal music (sound, durability) Sabian AAX or Paiste RUDEs?

i also need a ride cymbal that has a loud, focused and pingy sound, but without losing some of the trashy buildups. And that is not outrageously expensive.

Rudes are great cymbals as are AAX's i would advise a good mix of both

I don't like Rudes. I find that not only are they not that versatile, they also look horrendous. Of course they are a step up from Z Customs, AAX Metal and AA Metal X though. I would still just recommend heavier weight A's, AA's, and AAX.

AA medium crashes, AAX stage hats, AA rock ride or heavy ride and thats a good setup. just a suggestion.

I would say a 16" AA El Sabor thin crash is the definitive crash for what you're looking for. 13" El Sabor Salsa splash, same deal.

They haven't made 21" Pings?... but I'd go with a 22" Ping.

22" a Ping or the stage. The evo ride would be worth looking at as well, I've heard some good stuff about it.

I was surprised at 21" A Ping aswell. I'm so sure they don't make them that size aswell but that's what I was told it was... find out on Monday.

I really like the Sweet Ride in Brilliant, and don't like the Evo much. I think I'm gonna rule that out myself.

If you like it, then get it. Sabian should be cheaper than ZIlj and Paiste anyways.

As for the ZIldjian equivelent, it would be a 20" A Medium Ride. The closest thing Paiste would have would probably be a 20" 2002 ride I'd think.

As to whoever asked what the equivalent in Zildjian is to the Sabian AA 20" Medium ride... I would say the A Zildjian 20" Medium ride... they are more or less identical.

Man thats an awesome cymbal setup. All I need to do is get rid of my B8 china and I'm done (besides buying a K crash, a few more splashes, another 2 chinas and some Aux. hats). but atm i owe parents 500 bucks for double pedals, so I think I'll get that paid first.

I also have a 10" splash, 14" hats and 18" crash/ride by Meinl but i dont know the exact line (they sound like a mediun-quality line) but i got them reallt cheap like at 150 dollars in mexico

i want to change my ride any suggestions..........?
