I don't have any extra channels, not even the music channels. Although I do have two which occasionally have 80s weekends and play 80s pop and one GNR song.

Brew 09-30-2004 03:25 PM

You don't miss much not having the music channels.

Apart from when Scuzz has the Antiques Rockshow on

evilmenhavenosongs 09-30-2004 03:28 PM

Or when Scuzz has the HIM specials on. For God's sake even my grandma has Scuzz.

Kingofdudes 09-30-2004 04:58 PM

Im feeling so happy right now, but my wallet is pretty light now

Riva 09-30-2004 05:11 PM

I love getting metal CDs for cheap. Mostly because the music stores (Sanity and HMV) always put them on sale because the teeny boppers won't touch them and so the albums sit there forever.

TruthIsATrainWreck 09-30-2004 05:20 PM

Yeah I got my KsE album (the new one) for around 11 dollars. :-D

Kingofdudes 09-30-2004 05:21 PM

I got the phish cds for about $3.50 a piece :p

Riva 09-30-2004 05:40 PM

Nice. :thumb: The lowest I've gone is a 3 Judas Priest albums for Aus$12.00.

I've also gotten a Meat Loaf and a Motorhead album for $5 bucks each.

SofaKing713 09-30-2004 06:37 PM

I got the new shadows fall, the new lamb of god and a maiden CD for under $20.

Kingofdudes 09-30-2004 07:31 PM

Meh our forum needs more conservatives

eggs'n'spam 09-30-2004 08:57 PM

hm, your point? are we supposed to 'check em out'?

oh, who watched the whole debate? i didnt, but the part i caught..bush looked like he was asleep for a minute or 2, he looked bored after he woke up..lol

Kingofdudes 09-30-2004 09:00 PM

I saw it, but it failed to keep my attention. People get on Bush's grill all the time for how he speaks, but it isnt the most important skill for the President of the US.

eggs'n'spam 09-30-2004 09:03 PM

it is kinda important that he can communicate effectivly, but he gets his point across in a humorous manner..though boring, as all politicians. you gotta forgive bush, hes from texas, and 'ya caint mess wif texas'

It is important, but it is low for the US. But in a place like Britain where the PM gets grilled weekly in Parliament, it is very important.

im aussie, and our PM cops alot in parliment, we had to go there once on a school trip, and the whole room was full of old men honestly calling each other names and yelling over each other.

speaking of being aussie, i know we get movies alot later than people in the U.S, but i saw harold and kumar go to whitecastle today and thought it was funny as, seen it people?

Riva 10-01-2004 04:35 AM

Nope, haven't yet. Hope to though.

And yeah, I've watched debate time on ABC when I couldn't find the remote and was too bored to get up and change the T.V. Honestly, the only thing they discussed was how stupid the Minister for Education was in regards to their latest policy. About three different people got up, called the minister names, and sat down again. Then the John Howard stood up, called the main agitator an idiot, and then complained to the speaker. Great example of democracy in progress, people!

samick malibu 10-01-2004 04:42 AM

haha yeah man.
when we went in they were discussing the whole scorseby freeway thing, and it was one guy trying to defend the tolling and another guy standing talking to his friends at the top of his lungs trying to drown out the other guy. he also worked in a few insults into his yelling, until the chairperson told ihm to shut up.
dammit i have to go, later

Riva 10-01-2004 04:52 AM

Meanwhile, how funny is my department manager at work. (The store manager is the one I have a problem with.) He asked me a few days ago to work today, because the usual guy is in Sydney. So I came into work and said hello to him, then walked up the stairs to chuck my stuff in my locker. As I'm walking up the stairs, I hear him say, "Hey Jason, are you in fresh produce today?"
And I replied, "Yeah, I'm filling in for Greg".
Blank stare, "Oh, is he still in Sydney"
"Yeah, you asked me to fill in for him, remember?"
A few minutes pass, blank stare continues...
"Oh, well, thanks for coming in. When is he coming back?"

Uh, how am I supposed to know?!? You're the boss... But yeah, usually he is a cool guy, but today he was either stoned, or just naturally doughy for some reason. But after he left, I had a good time slacking off and eating honey cashews, which are heaven on earth.

JMetallica 10-01-2004 05:22 AM

Gees, boss can be absolutely stupid sometimes. I respect my bosses, but the lady i was working for is THE most forgetful person on the face of the planet. First, she was going to her car, and came back inside because she forgot her keys. 10 minutes later, she comes back. It appears she went to the band but forgot the check/money she needed to deposit. Then later that afternoon, she returnes again, this time she had forgotten the registered mail when going to the post office.

I respect her though, because she ****s chicks.

Riva 10-01-2004 05:40 AM

I worked for a forgetful midget lesbian. Is your boss one too?

Kingofdudes 10-01-2004 05:47 AM

I work for a whore that slept with the boss to get her job.

Riva 10-01-2004 05:47 AM

Sleep with her to get on her good side.

samick malibu 10-01-2004 05:49 AM

my bosses at my old job, where i worked at a fruit and vegie shop, were chinese, and they didnt speak english very well. they were also inclined to call me at 6 in the morning 'asking' me to work for 10 hours on my day off, because the other arsehole who worked there called in sick, most likely because he was stoned.
then theyd talk about us (me and my friend who worked there) in chinese while we stood there.
their call for me was 'stupid boy', and a more polite 'girl' for my friend.
they paid us $6.50 an hour (i dont know how much american that equals, but it sucks) and fired employees when they reached an age where they legally had to be paid more.
argh now im angry.....those arseholes.......
the last guy that quit from there stole $200 worth of lemons just to spite them

Riva 10-01-2004 06:02 AM

What did he do; make tons of lemonade?

samick malibu 10-01-2004 06:04 AM

threw them at peoples cars. and threw the leftovers at the bosses as they left at the end of the day
