My friend: its like they see the parked car, but they still go in that lane

Tryxx 10-28-2004 08:00 PM

I'm half-Brazillian.

Foxfire 10-28-2004 08:00 PM

Or a hot naked woman.

Foxfire 10-28-2004 08:04 PM

From my friend (don't know where he got it from):

"One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late."

i just read 30 pages of A Clockwork Orange and need to write a 300-500 word response journal about what i read.
i now only have 16 pages left of the 150 page book.

what a great novel it is and what a great author Anthony Burgess is. i'd like to read other stuff he wrote.

If youre a circus clown and you have a big dog in your act I dont think its a good idea to also dress the dog up as a clown, because people see taht and they think "forgive me, but thats too much."

that one?

When I die, I would like to go peacefully, in my sleep, like my Grandfather did. Not screaming and yelling like the passenger in his car.

iceman3019 10-28-2004 08:18 PM

i'm reading lord of the flies right now . . . awsome book so far . . .

A Clockwork Orange is about these 4 friends, about 14 or 15 years old, like to go out at night beating people up, robbing them, robbing store, raping women, etc...
anyway, not to give away the whole thing, the main character, Alex, is eventually caught and goes to prison after he accidentally murders a woman.
he then needs to go through a treatment that is to cure him of any violence he has in him, but of course, it is not quite what he was expecting.

written in 1962.

Really, you think so? I read it over the summer, and it was alright, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I jsut got done reading, and now I'm analyzing Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House. It's horrible. To the max.

^^^ Seems interesting Space, I'll check it out.

e p 10-28-2004 08:22 PM

When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we'd all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn't until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear.

it's fun to read about kids that try and start a government on an island because you know that it'll eventually fall into anarchy . . .
