I'm planning on bringing back the Classical Mailing list but I can't find the thread. Or any of them for that matter.

Thanks for those Extol files, I'm milling away at them at the moment.

I'd also be very interested in that Classical Mailing List.

Boss rocks !
but y doesnt any artist use boss mt2, everybody seems to be choosing that pedal for distortion, probably overatted or just too popular

Where am I from? Well I live directly under the sun.. pretty much.

Extol has some great instrumentation, but those vocals...
Uggggh, horrible. It's the most grating, abrasive form of death metal vocals I've ever heard, which I remember now is why I didn't like them.

So, in closing, great instrumentation, horrible, horrible, terrible vocals.

Moses 11-25-2005 09:06 PM

I think the clean vocals are ace, especially on Gloriana. The dirty vocals are, well, dirty. Do you just not like growling?

Ah, that would explain your association with Tool. You're sure are one lucky bastard. :upset: How many times have you gone to see them in the recording studio?

Moses 11-25-2005 09:38 PM

What'd you think of those Extol songs, Jake?

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-25-2005 09:59 PM

I'm downloading an Ulver album right now(and last night, dinosaurnet++) but I'll check them out once I'm done with this.

Moses 11-25-2005 10:54 PM

After this, I've decided that you don't have a soul. ;)

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 01:21 PM

So right now, I'm downloading a 6 track Tool bootleg from Soulseek. The songs are Stinkfist, 46 & 2, The Grudge, Prison Sex, Push it, and Schism. I've only listened to Stinkfist so far, and it's quite awesome. Of course, it's typical bootleg quality, but it's very cool to hear the different version of Stinkfist. Adam does some awesome improv-style stuff to spice up the main riff. The second verse, Maynard sings different lyrics(I beleive they're from an Elvis song), and the added segment after Adam's "solo" is great. :p

EDIT: It's "Live in San Diego," in case anyone was curious.

NP: Tool - No Quarter

Sweet, I always wondered if you could leech off of Best Buy's Clearwire server. :p

It's really too bad they're only releasing Refractionoid as a limited edition though...I don't want to pay 30 bucks for an album, but eh, it's Tool. I'd pay anything for Tool.

Toaster 11-27-2005 05:24 PM

Is it really next week? Jeez, I'm behind. Anyone know the title?

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 05:27 PM

Refractionoid. It's in my post up there. ^

Hey, man, I'm gonna buy five and sell the extra four for ninety bucks apiece on Ebay as imports. Pretty good profit margin, I'd say. That is, if I can get my hands on five during the stampede.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 05:54 PM

That's a good idea. I think I'm gonna bring my pellet gun, just in case Best Buy sells out. I'll pull my gun out on someone who's on their way out with the album.

You bastards better watch out!

Kage 11-27-2005 06:18 PM

I'm packin' heat. My tent is filled with piles of rocks, so I've got ammo to spare.

Yeah, we have to pay lots, this way they can bathe in expensive plum sauce.

I don't know how many of you have done this but it's really amazing i took it from toolnavy.com

Well, here´s something to amuse and amaze you. I will write these instructions in steps, so don´t read it all at once, if you dont want to spoil it before you try this on your own. But I´llsuggest you to read this whole thing even if youhave "solved the puzzle", to see how far I could take it.And I´m sorry if my English is ****ed up at some points.

Well here goes:

Step 1:

Take that black slip covering the actual album package and turn it around so
you can see the track listing. Now take the inner sleeve and open it up, so you can see the man with the pentagram stuck in his throat. Use only this and the following page, fold back the last page (Bottleopenerpage, so it wont distract you.)
I prefer these two pages on for certain reasons. Next you´ll have to put the inner sleeve on the top of the tracklistblackslipthingee. Now as you´re beginning to position the inner sleeve to thecorrect position, remember to keep the inner sleeve page´s edges and the black slip´s edges parallel (this does not mean
that the inner sleeve edges should be on top of the black slip edges, they´ll just have to be parallel). Now youshould make the man´s tip of the nose touch the little quadrangle which is followed by a text:Triad.

Step 2:
With this positioning hold the slip and the sleeve against a light. Now you can see through the man.

Step 3:
If you´ve done the positioning as I did it and told you to do, then you can see certain things. You´ll see certain lines coming out from certain positions of the man´s face.

Step 4:

Faaip de oiad-line is coming from the mouth. (notice the pentagram)
Reflection-line is connected into the eye of the man. (I personally think that eye has a lot to do with reflections)
The little Disposition-X is in a small cavity (?) in the man´s forehead.
Lateralus is connected to the brain. (Thinking, thinking)

Step 5:
And now look on the top of the man´s head. There is something.

Step 6:
Reminds me of a crown. Keter? Or the crown of negativity?

Step 7:
Turn the page.

Step 8:
Definitely Keter. But on the other hand Ticks & Leeches are pretty close to the crown. Maybe it is the crown of negativity.

Now I´ll have a little extra fun for you.

Now that you have positioned the man so the GOD is crowned. Well there´s more crowns. Now flip the sleeve around so that you see the GOD from end to beginning "DOG", GOD as a mirror image, you know. Now above the crown that we found last time, you can see another crown. Now position the "DOG" in the exact same manner as you did with the GOD(The crown a little inside his skull.
If youve done this correctly, youll see a line connected to the man´s mouth. This aint no ordinary line. Well, youll, find out the rest.
