tbh what he did was pretty legit. I do the exact same thing, and it is a good way to find out if a girl is interested or not. Plus, if she has his number, and yet hasn't called, why would it make a good impression to ask for her number when they haven't even spoken really?

Yeah but if she wanted to do that she would have texted him. Girls are very stupid, yes, but they have acquired the intellect to know what interests them and what doesn't.

Yeah no, considering his situation it would have been better to get her number, but that's not what he did. It can turn out okay either way as long as both people are interested in one another.

If she's interested, she'll call. If she's not, she won't. I'm not the type of guy to beg for a girl's number or make myself appear vulnerable in any way (probably due to my low self-esteem, but that's a different post) so maybe my my opinion is a little skewed.

if she says no, you know right off the bat that she has no interest in you
