The fast solo is hard to get perfect but the rest is simple. Its one of the first songs that i ever learned.

the solo and the riff after the intro are the hard things on that song.
the song in bass is very simple except for the same riff after the intro.

FlyingPaul_83 05-20-2005 10:24 PM

I kind of have trouble at 2:48, and the third solo i can't play at all, but besides that i have it down pretty good

Choose the file, click upload and then give us the link it gives. That simple. I will upload a Aska and Dimebag video of seek and destroy if anyone wants it.

Yea, it's really hard to get perfect, but after awhile the whole song becomes really easy

/can play it
Thanks for that. I love metallica covers.
only when they're good. the tribute albums i don't really like, but the DT covers are great.

hey i stayed at that hotel! (where the Sanitarium was played by DT)

fatbandit 05-21-2005 07:09 AM

MoP in bass isn't too hard. The hard bits are the 'spider riff' (which we've been reliably informed isn't a spider riff at all, but that's the name it has anyway...), and the little scale run after the solo (not too bad, but the speed can be a little hard, especially if you play it faster than the album version). Either way, if you have good enough finger speed, it isn't a problem (obviously...)

Petrucci nailed the first two solos impeccably.

For Whom the bell tollz is really easy...
Enter sandman is really easy
Unforgiven is really easy
Sad but true is really easy
Dyers eve is really easy ( skip dyers eve accually ;)

SKOM does sound easy but is not, the bass drum is really offbeat, it would be impossible to do for a beginner... It could be modified of course to a basic rock beat, but it would sound odd.

Hey, here is a link for Beatallica - Sgt Hetfields motorbreath pub band!
Its great you have gotta hear it.

I lke Dream Theaters Battery a lot more than their Master of Puppets. It's pretty rocking.

On another note, I read an interview with Jon Schaffer (Iced Earth guitarist) and he said he would open for Metallica in a heartbeat. My dream opening band may come true :D .

And to think you all laughed at me...

Huber 05-21-2005 07:10 PM

I love Iced Earth, that'd be cool. That Schaffer guy is a dick though.

Whale and Wasp 05-21-2005 08:18 PM

does anyone else find battery annoying?

i dont see why people love it so much

Have you got Dream Theater's Disposable Heroes? I think they do a sweet job with that.

TheDMV 05-21-2005 10:01 PM

I love Battery. If you're looking for an annoying Tallica song: Seek and Destroy. I've probably yet to hear such a repepetive song. Kill 'em All is my favorite album by them though.

heavy metal kid 05-21-2005 10:05 PM

I find more annoying lepper messiah and harvester of sorrow.
By the way i heard the dream theater live version of orion and it wasn't great at all, metallica's version is better.

Huber 05-21-2005 10:51 PM

Seek and Destroy...Leper Messiah!! These are classics! Oh well, I guess that's just what the majority thinks.
