I have it, I thought it was pretty good.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 05:40 PM

Haven't listened to it, but I'm not crazy about Aerosmith.

Freddie9 01-29-2005 05:42 PM
me still can't find Workingman's Dead. I think I might order it.
why not just steal it?

BludgeonySteve 01-29-2005 05:48 PM

I would have to know where a copy of one is in order to steal it.

Logic++

The new areosmith album it great. I've heard a bit of it and I was impressed.

jpj 01-29-2005 05:51 PM

You could get someone to send it to you or dowload it.

No one here in the R+M forum seems to like Aerosmith, I do, but evryone else seems to have a deep hatred for them

Illmatic 01-29-2005 05:54 PM

They did do the irrevocabley horrible "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing"

I like their first two albums and the song "Dude Looks Like a Lady", but other than that I can definately live without them.

No way, manzorz. Barely anyone hates them. It's not like hit or miss. It's just some people aren't crazy about 'em.

edit: to johnny.

Johnny B. Good 01-29-2005 05:55 PM

I like "Dont wanna Close My Eyes".

The impression I got is that no one liked them, every time I saw something with Aerosmith(with the exception of your thread) someone always bashed them.

Freddie9 01-29-2005 06:03 PM

I've got soulseek if someone needs some albums

I just downlaided it and I can't figure it out.

slowhand 01-29-2005 06:25 PM

Man, last week I bought Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" and I can't stop listening to it. Great guitar work by Mr. Gilmour. And to think they'e just regular blues licks, nothing fancy.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 06:29 PM

The song "Wish You Were Here" is amazing, and "Have a Cigar" is good too. I can do without the rest of the album, though.

Johnny B. Good 01-29-2005 06:31 PM

Man those kids in the Angus thread are pissing me off
Have a Cigar is a very good song

slowhand 01-29-2005 06:31 PM

I love "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," it's awesome. Sorry to hear that you don't like the rest of the album.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 06:33 PM

You know, I hate to admit it, but Neil Young is finally beginning to grow on me.

jpj 01-29-2005 06:34 PM
You know, I hate to admit it, but Neil Young is finally beginning to grow on me.
You mean you didn't like him before

Johnny B. Good 01-29-2005 06:35 PM

Disconnection doesn't seem to like anything we like

BludgeonySteve 01-29-2005 06:40 PM

^ I've noticed that too :\

WYWH is their best album I think. All of the songs on it are brilliant.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 06:41 PM

That's untrue and you know it.

EDIT: To JBG

It's great, but I don't think it's their best. I'd take DSOTM, PATGOD, Animals or The Wall over it any day. Also, I don't seem to like SOYCD as much as everyone else does.

slowhand 01-29-2005 06:45 PM

Well, I love it. It's one of the best guitar tracks I've heard.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 07:10 PM

So...I got Freedom, After the Gold Rush, and Harvest, and they're all good. What other good albums does he have?

jpj 01-29-2005 07:11 PM

Everyone Knows This Is Nowhere is awesome, and so is On the Beach.

BludgeonySteve 01-29-2005 07:13 PM

Harvest Moon, Ragged Glory, Greendale, Zuma and Rust Never Sleeps. Off of the top of my head that is.

wanton 01-29-2005 07:20 PM

On the topic of Aerosmith:

I enjoyed their song Mama Kin.
Everyone Knows This Is Nowhere is awesome, and so is On the Beach.
These would be my recommendations too.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 07:21 PM

Thanks a bunch.

BludgeonySteve 01-29-2005 07:22 PM

I hope you didn't just take gaypj's reccomendations. Mine were just as good.

Illmatic 01-29-2005 07:24 PM

I plan on eventually getting all of the ones you two listed. No need to fight for my love.

Also, have you noticed that the worst noobs are the ones with the Gibson Les Paul avatars? It's pretty weird if you ask me.
