Radiohead - OK Computer
nothing to be said about this that hasnt been said before. |
The Cure - Disintegration
CA Quintet - Trip Thru Hell Slint - both albums Six ORgans of Admittance - LOADS! Anxious Mo-Fo, ca. quintet was great. The first song especially, such a trip...listening to it with earphones was weird, especially the part in the middle of the song where the drums seemed to move from one earphone to another. Really trippy ****...nice discovery, dude. I've bookmarked yr blog for future reference. |
now:

Girl Talk - Night Ripper The Boss - The River So how come everyone has huge avatars? Oh, and Ryan Adams was amazing last night. |

Its eh.
Blur - Parklife Beatles - Sgt Peppers |
Weakerthans - Reunion Tour. Finally leaked, so friggin good.
Explosions In The Sky - How Strange, Innocence. Listening to it while reading and finally learning to appreciate it. The only instrumental album that did it for me before this is Broken Social Scene's Feel Good Lost. Page France - Hello, Dear Wind. Joan of Arc - How Memory Works. All the Kinsella brother bands are so awesome. Maps and Atlases - Trees, Swallows, Houses. Checked them out because I saw them being mentioned a lot around here. Very good! Like Minus The Bear, sorta, but a lot better. Bomb The Music Industry! - Get Warmer. Not indie at all, but awesome. |

Uh well, "independent" yeah, in that sense indie as f'uck. But as in, alternative artsy rock with some pop sensibilities, I'm afraid not. |
