Second time you said that tonight.

Loyton 02-24-2006 09:51 PM

It wasnt in the same thread. What did YOU have for dinner, PIZZA????

If you say pizza then you like men, and small men at that.

fishbulb 02-24-2006 09:55 PM

not at all.

by the way, i had pizza for dinner.

Loyton 02-24-2006 10:00 PM

Whooooa did NOT need to know man.

PremierManiac 02-24-2006 10:12 PM

F**K!!! Our (high school) basketball team just lost to our rivals 49-50 in double overtime. A bunch of people (including myself) got kicked out of our rival's gym for "rude and violent behavior towards the opposing players". For those of you that don't live in the US, our high school basketball games get pretty crazy with our student sections. Not really on topic, but I had to vent.

Seafroggys 02-24-2006 11:08 PM

i played in the pep band all four years of high school for the basketball games. man they were fun, because we spent so much energy intimidating the other team. Then everybody got all PC, and the pep band itself started sucking really bad, so nobody let us do anything anymore!

Maggot Dream 02-24-2006 11:12 PM

I'm at an all-boys school, so sports are pretty crazy. We've won our first two tournament games, which is good considering our record is 8-16.

Corkofski 02-25-2006 05:48 AM

well, that was a good lesson

in other news, just saw in the paper that Wuhan, China (where the cymbals come from) is also home to a food processing plant that collects cats to be served as meals in china :S

Aaron 02-25-2006 05:56 AM

"genuine wuhan: made from cats"

Futuro 02-25-2006 06:14 AM

What a good night sleep I had! Lemme check my last post count compared to this one.

EDIT: About 3:30 AM to 7 AM

RushHourSoul 02-25-2006 06:19 AM

****.. gig tonight! Soundcheck in a few hours :) Venues pretty big too, its like a theatre.

Corkofski 02-25-2006 06:38 AM

have fun!

Janeway 02-25-2006 10:35 AM

I got let down big time today.
My poon pal has these pants I like. They're burgundy corduroy and they cling to her hips and ass perfectly, and I told her that. She agreed to wear them when I met her at my lessons this morning, but she wore the hooded shirt I absolutely HATE. It's pink knitted wool with dark purple designs on it.
Gah. The poor thing is totally colour blind.
Pink...and burgundy. GAAAAAH.
She should have worn the freaking nuzzly black sweater with the peacoat that's got lining that matches the pants with the burgundy scarf, but noo.
;.;

rockindrummer 02-25-2006 11:14 AM

That sucks pespi. Atleast she wore the pants, and you could still check out her ass.
Well, its cause it changes the sound. Personally I wouldnt clean it, but thats cause im lazy and thats a good excuse.
So, you wouldn't clean it if it had little black spots all over the place? Also, would you know what sound the cymbal would make if I did clean it? It's the a sweet ride. I know this question might go unanswered, but I wanted to ask.

Loyton 02-25-2006 11:23 AM

It depends, what kind of a sound do you want? If you want a dryer sounding (aged) trad. cymbal Id say dont clean it, but thats usually the case with dryer series like K's.

With that A I think id clean it to retain a brighter sound.

Then again, im not totally an expert on this issue. If you want you could make a thread about it, its a very good question and I for one would be interested in the answers, havnt had a thread about ageing cymbals for a while.

saars 02-25-2006 11:37 AM

well, I really would like a brighter sound out of my ride, so I will clean it. About the new thread, I'm kinda too lazy to make one. =P

so, what's new my mxing friends?

crazyguy832 02-25-2006 11:58 AM

Hah, absolutely nothing.

You?

And I like dark cymbals... dark cymbals are amazing... I want a good dark cymbal.

>_<

My aged B8 crash/ride will only last so long. But it does sound really good right now.

Not a whole lot man, just about to go watch anime on mute with music overtop on my 1000 watt speakers. And eat. Its gonna be bitchin.

On another note, I seriously think smoking pot eases my sore throat and sinus infection.... What do you guys think? Is it just me or mabye the smoke has soothing powers?

I agree to that, except for the ride. I like my rides bright. :)

Janeway 02-25-2006 02:47 PM

Hmm...
I just had a lovely meal of spaghetti-o's and a frozen Tina's burrito.
Now I want me some sweet tea.

Quinto 02-25-2006 03:29 PM

i am quite pissed that gene simmons school of rock is gone in america, and now theres even an amazingly hot girl on it. it just really sucks

Loyton 02-25-2006 04:22 PM

Hey is it normal or abby normal to have coated over coated heads, like on toms?

Hmm.... Im in the bussness for all new heads on my kit, I want coated g1's over somthing havnt decided resonant yet though.

SKII for bass, I like it just a wee more than the emad.... hmm what else? Oh yea, some alien freaks, some Jack DeJohnette sigs....

rockindrummer 02-25-2006 04:30 PM

Talos 02-25-2006 04:44 PM

Im Back!

Anyone know the difference between the Mapex M Series and the Mapex M Birch?

I asked my teacher if the M Series was out of Birch and he said he THINKS its made out of Maple and Basswood, is this true?

Also, which one would be better for rock, both would be a 5 piece and exactly the same.

Also, can anyone recommend me a good Godsmack album?

Corkofski 02-25-2006 04:52 PM

whootys, i was drinking in town today (as usual) and the pigs pulled me. they poured my alcy away, and were gonna take my details, along with my mates. so when they were tipping my mates away, i legged it.

anyway, i decided to hide in a stairwell going down to a basement. so i was sitting there, and this guy came out and told me i couldnt stay there. i said ok, but asked him what was down there, turns out hes got 2 practise rooms, both with kits and amps, along with vocal PA for hire, for 6 quid (10/11 dollars) an hour!

told him he'd see me again!

Talos 02-25-2006 04:56 PM

Whats the quality like?

At Robannas, you can pay £6.00 an hour but we paid £8.00 and the room was crap, I imagine 6 would be damn awful.

Also, everything was nailed to the floor so you couldnt knick anything.

RushHourSoul 02-25-2006 04:56 PM
have fun!
Oh man

I just got back. Was so good. The kit was **** but the drummer was really cool. Brought my BP snare and pro sonix cymbals. We closed the show, out of like 10 bands, was so good. Messed up a lot but don't think anyone noticed! luckily.. also did some tasty fills if i do say so myself.. haha. oh man im on such a high, wish i could go out and get pissed now. arhh
