Haha, we've got a Polka forum now? Haha, that's rad.
I don't even know what "polka" is.

Would someone please share?

TojesDolan 04-01-2006 02:27 AM

There's different types, but I like Classical polka.

There's modern polka which is more americanized.

PinkFreud 04-01-2006 02:28 AM

Ah. April Fools day subforums? Intriguing, admins...intriguing.

Bazarov 04-01-2006 02:35 AM

quick question for anyone who knows: Does rapidshare monitor or keep track somehow, how much a person downloads through their site, because for some reason it says I have download X amount, and to wait 56 minutes and try again. But I've been waiting and the same thing happens.

Yup. It tracked by your IP.

Say I want to download three CDs off it.

I go to "hidemyass.com" and go to "free proxy list".

Get 3 that are online and working.

Pop the first one into my browser and download the first CD.
Then pop the second into my browser, dl the second CD.
Put the third one into my browser and download that CD.

Just do the first with a proxy and use a new one each time. :thumb:
Wow. I just bought Mastodon's Leviathon and it's amazing. I love it. I was inspired by YDload's write-up on Brann Dailor. I also just watched Capote and it is excellent. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a great actor.
I still cant understand what's the deal with Mastodon. To me they sound boring and generic at times, plus the structure of their songs is pretty much standard.

Is Capote a thriller or something?
I think it's just dried blood under the skin but I really hope it's not infected already. I also already had to change the band-aid because the first was soaked in blood.
eeeew!
I've been into Amon Amarth for a while, they're really just like any other melodeath band, people have actual formed opinions on them, rather than liking them because of hype or hating them because of hype, etc.

The hype is probably because scene kids got their first taste on the Trivium/Bodom tour.
It has nothing to do with it since Amon Amarth have been popular for years. They're pretty good actually and they dont sound like typical (gothenburg) melodeath to me. They have that epic element that is hard to find in death metal.
I had all of the required 90+ pages of notes, sketches, homework, and outlines, unfortunately I lost 10 points do to, "excessive Satanic immagery," and I ended up having to go to have a session with the school psychologist regarding this.
How did it go? :p
I had the shirt for years, and it was in my normal shirt rotation. After the columbine thing, it became the topic of huge debate.

On substitute teacher asked "dont you find that shirt offensive, given recent events"

I said "considering ive been wearing this shirt for years, not at all. That would be your interpretation"

"well, im offended"

"ok" :lol:

the other time, same shirt, i was in the cafeteria and the coach (gym teacher) "what the hell is this, you cant be wearing this sh!t!"

he actually swore too
*sigh* crazy americans!
My advice:
Use Winamp
seconded. WMP is the worse program invented.
Ah. April Fools day subforums? Intriguing, admins...intriguing.
Forgot about that. I feel too old for this anyway.
I don't even know what "polka" is.
Polka is a style of folk music I think. Finntroll are supposed to incorporate polka elements to their music.

Jev 04-01-2006 05:35 AM

I just got up like half an hour ago. I'm waiting for my Mum to come home with food. I'm so hungry. Going to a mate's gig tonight. I think we might play a trick on him and tell him we're not coming.

Stoic 04-01-2006 05:37 AM

Mr. Black 04-01-2006 10:48 AM

Hey can anyone explain all the washboard threads?
---
I found my Waynes World box set. I love them films.

Cain 04-01-2006 10:51 AM

Mr. Black 04-01-2006 10:53 AM

I don't find them remotly funny, it just seems like a really poor joke.

I believe its an April fools joke. Same thing for the Polka thread the the removal of the punk thread.

Jev 04-01-2006 10:55 AM

Man thank God they had some decency and left the R&M forum open.

Cain 04-01-2006 10:56 AM

I think it's hysterical. Just look at the threads and what everyone is saying.

I also think it's hysterical that YDload was modded to run the Washboard forum.

same goes for polka i guess.

NP: Sonata Arctica - San Sebastian.

Illmatic 04-01-2006 11:10 AM

Well, looks like I haven't missed out on much.
