Monticello 12-29-2007 05:57 PM

Some girl I know stole a wing mirror off a car. She said she felt like it.

Valhall 12-29-2007 06:04 PM

People like that are such douches. Seriously.

Nostalgia 12-29-2007 06:05 PM

It was probably Eliminator.

Angmar 12-29-2007 06:06 PM

Last year or so there was an outbreak of people stealing gas caps for your car in my state. That I just don't understand.

Fender makes good acoustic guitars, but if you want to go cheaper and still retain some quality, Crafter or Ibanez PF series are good as well.

Yea, if you want to get expensive, Taylor makes awesome acoustics. I'm not aware of any cheap ones though.

yamaha makes great low budget acoustic guitars, if you're looking to spend under 300 or so.

Angmar 12-29-2007 07:17 PM

lol I got negged for repping you Anglachel.

The Door Mouse 12-29-2007 07:24 PM

Good album, good review. I would post it on the review but it's being a bitch and not letting me.

Valhall 12-29-2007 07:42 PM

I was a little short on this one, but I didn't want to repeat myself, rambling on and on about how good it was.

Kage 12-29-2007 07:44 PM

No way your review justified a 4.5 score. 4 maybe.

It was odd cause i'm used to people on here finding something wrong with an album no matter how petty, but you don't seem to be an overly analytical elitist prick, so you didn't.

Oh I can be. I just haven't reviewed an album that I really found it necessary to pick to pieces yet. Though I did hammer a little on Five Finger Death Punch's album.

Kage: I honestly cannot find a single thing wrong with the album. That justifies a 4.5 to me.

I refuse to give anything a 5 though.

Angmar 12-29-2007 07:48 PM

You cannot honestly think of an album worthy of 5/5 status? :/

Valhall 12-29-2007 07:49 PM
You cannot honestly think of an album worthy of 5/5 status? :/
No. A 5 is musical perfection; it is unachievable by a human being, because human beings are far from flawless.

Skyler 12-29-2007 07:50 PM

a 5/5 doesn't mean perfect

Valhall 12-29-2007 07:51 PM
a 5/5 doesn't mean perfect
...

How can a perfect score not reflect perfection?

Regardless, that's what it means to me, and no album achieves that. Therefore, no album will ever recieve a 5 from me.

a rating scale where a perfect score doesn't represent perfection?

plane 12-29-2007 07:56 PM

classic =/= perfect

Kage 12-29-2007 07:57 PM

But the way you reviewed the album, you only really justified a 4.5 in the context of its genre.

plane 12-29-2007 07:58 PM

but it seamlessly integrates something for everyone, kage

duh

You probably should hammer a lot on Five Finger Death Punch's album.

Valhall 12-29-2007 08:10 PM
But the way you reviewed the album, you only really justified a 4.5 in the context of its genre.
That's the way music should be rated imo-in the context of its own genre. You can't realistically relate a death metal album to a classical piece; I don't think it would be fair to either.
classic =/= perfect
I don't rate albums based on how "classic" they are. That's retarded to me. I rate them on thier musicality and songwriting.

Angmar 12-29-2007 08:10 PM

A 5/5 does not necessarily mean the album has no flaws, what it should mean is that despite what flaws it may have it has so many great things about it that you feel it warrants as high a rating as possible. The whole "rawr nothing deserves a 5" attitude is pretty dumb.

plane 12-29-2007 08:16 PM
I don't rate albums based on how "classic" they are. That's retarded to me. I rate them on thier musicality and songwriting.
I didn't mean universally or generally or whatever the **** you're thinking here. I meant personally.
