Eh I didn't really get into it upon first listen but I'll giveit a couple more tries. It wasn't bad.

Xerath is like...if Meshuggah were actually a good band and they had like orchestral synthy **** going behind it the whole time. Now I hate orchestral synthy ****, and I dislike Meshuggah and most of that whole style of metal, so I guess that's saying something. I dunno, it's not INCREDIBLE but I just listened to it for the first time earlier today and I'm definitely diggin it. It flows together real well

I've been meaning to tell you to get some Irate Architect. IDK if they have more than one album but I have [I]Visitors[/I] and it totally rips. Seems like something that would be right up your alley too

edit: I'm kinda with Benzum in a way. You don't have to be a good musician to have a good opinion on music, but you definitely do need to know something about music to talk to a musician about music without them getting pissed off at you
