my new fade to black is awesome. still no drums, and the bass recording sucked so i got rid of it. the intro is cool (like even before the acoustic starts, it's not exact but good). it sounds similar to the album version (normal tuning, normal solos)

and yes, I've been listening to KEA a lot lately and Whiplash is a great song even though Four Horsemen is better

yeah the four horsemen is better than whiplash, although i like whiplash alot. the four horsemen solo is just incredibly perfect. and i love the two guitar harmonization - it steals my heart away and makes my gf jealous *sigh*

I like the other harmonizations better. I do really like that one, but I like it when it's in a slower solo or a riff better (fade to black- mid solo and outro). My mom said last time i had a show that the only time i was having more fun than with my gf is on stage... She's not right, but man do I love being on stage

My girlfriend's awesome man, she listens to Metallica (only when I play it).

If you're going to get something like a BC rich get it like $400+ because anything less is a terrible guitar. ESPs/LTDs are pretty good. Ibanez play well, my sister just got a $200 one

In the Guitar Forum, when I've been in there, they all seem to worship Ibanez RG's, and they're all into metal... So maybe look into that :)

They look pretty plain to me though. Looks isn't what matters in the end, however.

I'm a huge ESP fan. I've gotten to play a 7-string version of (I'm just guessing) a mh-100. At least it looked like one.

The tone on it was amazing and being that it was a 7-string guitar, it was well suited to play slipknot and other kinds of nu-metal.

I think had it been mine, i'd have found a way to make thrash or death sounding.


I know that if you're on a budget, check out an ESP F-50. I think that they're like >$250 USD. I don't know exactly what features you're looking for but it looks nice for that price range.
