Heh, I just realized that was my 10,000th, w00x!

I've got a funny story about AP Anatomy to tell though, which lightened my mood.

At the end of each marking period we hand in our notebook, along with a table of contents to show we've done our work.

Basically it's a grade out of 100.

I had all of the required 90+ pages of notes, sketches, homework, and outlines, unfortunately I lost 10 points do to, "excessive Satanic immagery," and I ended up having to go to have a session with the school psychologist regarding this.

For the most part, it was my idiocy of having a three subject binder for Anatomy, Modern European History, and then using the third section to design logos for local bands and what not... including one for ICB which I still need to scan entitled "Inverted Corpsef[color=silver]uckin[/color]g Necrogram" which was confiscated for, "extreme vulgarity," along with having a pentagram and multiple inverted crosses in it.

I need some technical help here. Last night, Windows Media Player was playing a movie. Just as it was wabout to reset at the end, I tried to click the stop button, but the mouse shifted and I ended up clicking on the beginning of the little progress bar thingy. The player proceeded to lock up into Not Responding mode for about 10 minutes before the computer just crashed just as it gave me a message about my virtual memory being too low.

So I boot the computer back up, put it through a proper restart, and lo and behold, Windows Media Player now refuses to work. It won't play files in the playlist. It won't open new ones. It won't play CDs from the hard drive, it won't play DVDs.

The error type is apparently labelled 8007007E, which the Microsoft support page tells me they have no further information on other than that name. I tried layering a new install on top of the old, but I still am faced with the same problem.

I'm not going to contact Microsoft tech support because it costs $35 to send them an e-mail, and there's not even a guarantee that they're going to do anything about it.

Any advice?

Good job 11teen :thumb: My teachers don't collect our notebooks, but they do quizzes on them to make sure they're organized.

I used to like WMA but it's started to suck. It takes all my files and doubles them because I've got Itunes files. So basically I'm using Itunes now because WMA doesn't play well anymore.

:lol: that happened to me last year. I was doodling band logos on my homework, Meshuggah, Carcass, Napalm Death, the Anthragram, The Slayer Eagle with the bloody pentagram, and the sweet looking robot thing from Probot.

Anyways, three weeks later I get called down to the 'police' officer's office (we have some chick cop around our school). She tells me to sit down and (I'm 100% Mexican btw) she asks me if I'm in a gang. At this point my face goes like this :) She then whips out the doodles and keeps saying stuff like, "I believe you if you say you're not in a gang, but...are you in a gang?" for a whole hour. Then she started asking me if I worshipped satan :lol:

Hahaha, that was basically the conversation and so forth. I had a huge page dedicated to the Mayhem logo, that was the first addressed, then they proceded to turn to a page for "Nig[color=silver]gerspawn[/color]," which is a friend's band, and they asked if I was in a hate group :p.

They just don't understand the concept of the metal logo.

Maybe that'd happen to me if I could draw.

That too. Funny thing is they never yell at me for wearing shirts with these logos on them, but then when I draw them it's suddenly a major issue.

That's always confused me... I guess it's because I've been drawing constantly for as long as I can remember or something, but art just seems simple for me.

I've been drawing since I was a kid but I'm probably a contender for the worst drawer in my school. Maybe it runs in the family... My Mum's side is great at it but my Dad's side isn't.

I draw sometimes. I got really bored one day in Spanish so on top of my notes I sketched "bored" really cool. I haven't done anything since...

I dunno, maybe. I'd like to see something that you've done, cause sometimes people don't judge their art very well: ie my friend Chris almost failed Art class but thinks he can draw Anime and tells me that I'm too sketchy when last art class I had was in 9th grade and I had a 98%.

Well, just got back home from a funeral...man I am really depressed...

And the big show is tonight, I'm excited about that.

Doesn't it seem ironic that there's a funeral and a metal show on the same day? haha

Funerals suck. I had to go listen to heavy metal to get my mind off the last funeral I was at.

I need to do more drawing. When I'm actually doing it I like to do it, but I don't like to sit and be like "I think I'll go draw!" I don't take art classes because I don't want to be told what to draw.

I have a self-made Nile logo but in "Black Metal tr00 font" in the back of my Statistics notebook, and when people see it they say "wtf is that" and I say "oh it's a band". They just stare at it for a while and turn away. Hehe, metal style \m/

i remember i had this shirt of a wheel company (fruit-booting). The shirt had a stick figure man, with a gun barrel literally through his head. His head was on O shap, and the barrel pointed through the head.

I had the shirt for years, and it was in my normal shirt rotation. After the columbine thing, it became the topic of huge debate.

On substitute teacher asked "dont you find that shirt offensive, given recent events"

I said "considering ive been wearing this shirt for years, not at all. That would be your interpretation"

They are a good band, but I don't get horrible excited over them. I'll listen to them and see them if they come by, but there are many other better bands in my opinion.


Its Amon Amarth by the way.

I've been into Amon Amarth for a while, they're really just like any other melodeath band, people have actual formed opinions on them, rather than liking them because of hype or hating them because of hype, etc.

The hype is probably because scene kids got their first taste on the Trivium/Bodom tour.

I'm no big fan or anything, but I occasionally enjoy their music. I think part of the experience is listening to the lyrics, and part of it is just how cool and viking they are. They are very overrated though, no doubt.
