I was listening to the album in your avatar today, and really loving it. "Here's A Smirk" is the ****.
it's really a classic. i never see anyone talk about it on here, though...but that might be because i pretty much stick to A&I.

and i am in the midst of my mandatory semi-weekly dig of Dopesmoker.

bleep_bloop 01-02-2007 06:48 PM

by sleep? i just downloaded it, i have yet to check it out.

seamantis 01-02-2007 06:52 PM

yes. i've seen you say that you like sunn, so you should probably enjoy Dopesmoker, as it sort of has the whole drone/quasi-trance/meditative quality to it, although the vocals might throw that off a bit...but the lyrics are pretty fucking awesome. or you'll hate them. whatever. listen.

Dopesmoker rules. Lets be friends.

Apple Juice Break!

Electrocution 01-02-2007 07:24 PM

i can't decide if that's supposed to mean it's a break as in a beat...incorporating apple juice, or a break as in a rest for the purpose of drinking apple juice.

edit: coincidentally, i drink apple juice right now.

ATM 01-02-2007 07:24 PM

I also dig apple juice.

Robert Crumb 01-02-2007 07:47 PM

I have a thing of apple juice in the fridge, but it's cheap stuff and it's old so it all settled at the bottom and now it looks kinda gross and I'm afraid to drink it.

give it a shot some other time. i don't think i was particularly enamored with it during the first listen.

just spun a bunch of vinyl. Genghis Tron's Dead Mountain Mouth followed by Black Eyes' Cough followed by Do Make Say Think's Goodbye Enemy Airship the Landlord is Dead. Didn't finish the last one yet due to an urgent need to shred!!!!

Definitely. I'm assuming that song is from Hypnotic Underworld? Get that, then Snuffbox Immanence if you want more.

ATM 01-02-2007 10:11 PM

Cool, I'll see if I can find it.
