wait cream is going on tour when did this happen. i heard clapton was going on tour but not cream hoe soon are they going on tour.
Cream are playing three (i think) shows at the Royal Albert Hall. Meaning Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, and Eric Clapton. That's just what I've heard, I could be wrong.

and fine...we won't have diet cola, we can have tasty lemonwater! I think I've stopped drinking alcohol, so keep it away from me.

edit- Ya it's four shows, I was wrong.

It's four shows.

They aren't coming to the States, unless the shows are very successful then they might decide to do a tour.

No way man, I'll bring the beer.

ledpoisoning27 01-28-2005 10:30 PM

yea yea is there any plans of them coming to tour in the states

lunch998 01-28-2005 10:30 PM
are they going to be coming to the states

edit: my dad just went to london too, and if i knew Cream was going to be having a concert i would have gone down with him. :upset:
It isn't until May. Besides, the "cheap" seats for the concert are 700$ for a pair.

They aren't touring, these are just like a couple reunion dates...they arent reforming to start touring or anything like that. Although it would be nice if they did.

edit - Bring the beer...I don't drink beer anyways. It makes me have to pee way too much.

Deal, how many 30 packs do you think the Cr regulars could kill?

ledpoisoning27 01-28-2005 10:33 PM

cream is like one of my favorite bands, why did they break up any way.

lunch998 01-28-2005 10:35 PM
cream is like one of my favorite bands, why did they break up any way.
They just decided that the band was becoming too much and that they wanted to get away from it. Clapton said it was becoming like a prison.

I could do maybe a 3rd of one...

I doubt i'll get to go to a Cream show.

I am going to a Steve Earle show but he's not classic rock and so it doesn't count as music.

Steve Earle is great. What is he considered? I always just called him classic rock without thinking of it.

I dunno how many beers I could drink, I've honestly never drank a full can of beer in my life. Although I used to drink 40s of bum beer all the time.

ledpoisoning27 01-28-2005 10:41 PM

sorry to change the subject but, my dad is going to a elton john concert and he asked me if i wanted to go, but im not quite sure because i do like some of his earlier songs, but a lot of his later stuff i really disliked.

thickasabrick 01-28-2005 10:45 PM

I like all of Elton Johns stuff.

Rod Stewart is coming to a nearby city soon...I wouldn't mind going but the tickets are so expensive, and I don't like him enough to fork over a months pay

lunch998 01-28-2005 10:46 PM

Elton John, I have to look hard to find his great stuff. A lot of his material was unimpressive to me.

I always thought of Rod Stewart as stuff my mom listens to.

It is mom music, but I still like it. Mom Music. That could be it's own genre.

He's Country rock (good country rock) but the last 2 albums have had a little punk influence. He has had a long carreer though.

Rod Stewart is good. My mom bought me Every Picture Tells A Story and it has some great songs on it.

Yes Rod Stawart is for middle age women but I don't care.

Badmoon 01-28-2005 10:50 PM

Early Rod Stewart and Rod Stewart/Jeff Beck stuff is awesome.

jpj 01-28-2005 10:51 PM

Is the album Atlantic Crossing good? The cover is painted on the wall at my school.

The cover of Europe '72 is painted on a wall in the same small building my favorite CD store is.

ledpoisoning27 01-28-2005 10:52 PM

that reminds me did the yardbirds ever have clapton, beck, and page all together at the same time.

It would be much cooler to have that painted on the wall.

Albums painted on walls? What's this?
that reminds me did the yardbirds ever have clapton, beck, and page all together at the same time.
I think Page and Beck were together for a short period, but he played bass not guitar.

Every year the senior class paints something on a wall at my high school, and I guess Atlantic Crossing was real big one year and they decided to paint it.

They were both on guitar at some point, but not for long.

thickasabrick 01-28-2005 10:56 PM

Any you guys heard of Long John Baldry? He started basically the first white blues band in England. He his band had some members that became very famous in later years (Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Elton John, another Stones member (mighta been Charlie Watts)
