90% of them have that, it's like "Who's that young lady?"
"NO, I'm Jason"
"Who's that young lady?"
and on it goes.
Hey, great minds think alike, I want a funky bassist who can sing!
I'm good friends with a guy who has an awesome voice, and used to play bass, he was going to join our band, but too lazy to start playing bass again :(

Yeah it's 5:13am, I'm doing another ALL Guitar night :D
NP: MOP from the MIAWTW tour in DC

Jev 10-19-2005 02:03 PM

Pfft by the end of it they would've forgotten that i had played it anyway.

lightningmetal666 10-19-2005 02:46 PM
Hey seriously half of them are deaf.
That reminds me of the episode of the simpsons where everybody is in the movie theatre and they do the thx sound thing that's so loud ppl are literally being blown out of their seats and throughout the whole thing, Grandpa Simpson is screaming, "Turn it Up, TURN IT UP!"

Joe 10-19-2005 03:05 PM
Pfft by the end of it they would've forgotten that i had played it anyway.
 They're good at that. Ok, enough old people bashing.

NP: Cliff Burton's Last Bass Solo

Chu 10-19-2005 03:11 PM

Gocaps, do you use Soulseek? I got this Anesthesia>For Whom The Bell Tolls you gotta hear man.

That's great.

Lightning, yeah they are liek that, I was shotuing today and they didn't hear. Must contain old people bashing.

lightningmetal666 10-19-2005 03:33 PM

It's because of old ppl that i can appreciate my youth while I still have it. :P

Man, If I was playing for a convalescent home, I'd be playing stuff like Cannibal Corpse's staring through the eyes of the dead, Metallica's Fight Fire with Fire and Slayer's Disciple.

I know, I'm evil.

Britton 10-19-2005 04:00 PM

That's funny man.

Hey Joe did you like that Download?

Joe 10-19-2005 04:11 PM
That's funny man.

Hey Joe did you like that Download?
The Download Festival? Loved it. It's a really good show. The drumming is actually really weak even though the drummers are talented. They obviously did not practice much with the band.

Britton 10-19-2005 04:20 PM

Well yea Lars got sick in the car on the way to the show...

so you know.

I thought they all did a great job.

what was you're favourite track?

Joe 10-19-2005 04:24 PM

As much as Fade to Black is my favorite song and amazing in that show, I must admit I really loved The Four Horsemen and Creeping Death

By the way, I recorded another Fade to Black. I'm going to add bass later tonight

Chu 10-19-2005 04:27 PM

So.. Gocaps do you use SoulSeek?
So.. Gocaps do you use SoulSeek?
Nope, why do you ask??

Chu 10-19-2005 04:37 PM

Download it now, it's small, and that way I will be able to send you this sick version of Anesthesia! Trust me, it's good :D
Download it now, it's small, and that way I will be able to send you this sick version of Anesthesia! Trust me, it's good :D
Bleh, my computer is completely full of my sisters damn videos and my recordings... maybe later.

Speaking of which my new fade to black isn't bad. once again it could use improvment but the solos are better

metalmilitia101 10-19-2005 08:44 PM

i was watching cunning stunts and s&m and as much as lars can't play (like one and dyer's eve and everything) he does a good job with the rhythym and a good job keeping up. i think he is a good play along drummer, but he just can't be compared to other better drummers bc thats when people start bashing him. be thankful for what he's got, he's got alot of it.

and i think james hetfield and jason newsted are the completely awesomest looking rockers in history, other than slash.

Britton 10-19-2005 09:13 PM

James andJason looks great when they play!

At HPB in S.A they have all this Tallica stuff. Like old videos
from the early 90' and late 80's it's really cool

metalmilitia101 10-19-2005 10:42 PM

san antonio? thats not a far cry from where i live. where is it? and i'll go next time i'm down there, which is like twice a year.

*edit* yeah and kirk hammett looks wicked awesome with his black painted fingernails...but then again who doesnt? ohhhh jimi. haha

lucstone 10-20-2005 12:18 AM

Goth Kirk scared the shit out of me.

fatbandit 10-20-2005 08:47 AM

I still don't understand the white bands he wears on his hands when playing.

And Kirk looked far cooler when he wasn't wearing lycra leggings

I have to say, for stage presence, Jason > Cliff. Cliff headbanged like a mofo, and that was it.

Pics

also is it just me or does the drummer for nevermore look like a fatter kirk hammett?
I have to say, for stage presence, Jason > Cliff. Cliff headbanged like a mofo, and that was it.
I thought that cliff had a better stage presence. He didn't just headbang, he broke stuff as well. He was pretty crazy up on stage. I like James' stage presence as well, but cliff had him beat. IMO.

I remember seeing James up on stage in this VHS tape (don't remember the name of it seeing that I was only ten) with his massive ESP Explorer guitar just riffin' away, and I thought to myself. This is the epitome of cool. This guy is the sh*t. Then I caught some footage of cliff and I was like, this guy is friggin nuts.

fatbandit 10-20-2005 11:49 AM

Jason's windmills pwn Cliff.

Apparently Kirk's got really delicate skin and PMing causes it to blister and hurt. so he wears the tape to stop it happening.

Goth Hammett
Yeah. I get scared easily.

fatbandit 10-20-2005 11:53 AM

Yeh, well my fingers blister from playing bass.

Let it callous over you fusty walrussing ****** Kirk!

:smash:

lightningmetal666 10-20-2005 11:57 AM

Yeah, James was the guy that made me like Metallica but cliff's stage presence reminds me that of Kurt Cobain. Almost like he forgot to take his meds or something.

lightningmetal666 10-20-2005 11:58 AM
Apparently Kirk's got really delicate skin and PMing causes it to blister and hurt. so he wears the tape to stop it happening.
Maybe he should use lotion or something.

I think that's the problem, he uses so much moisturiser that his skin can't take the most delicate of touches.

Strange, after a couple of years in playing guitar, my palm skin has gotten quite hard. He's been playing for decades so go figure

I think it's something to do with his inheritance. I have a friend who has skin like him and it's very soft and he finds it hurts when he plays guitar.
