My dad decided to go to a Coheed concert with my friends, and he actually enjoyed them. (He's also a big Rush fan)

Pazz 01-06-2006 09:43 PM

I just thought about taking my dad to a Coheed concert. He would be useful in the pit because since he's handicapped, he can ride his scooter and run everyone over.

TMA 01-06-2006 10:06 PM

My dad's gone to all three Coheed shows I've seen with me. He loves them.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 01-08-2006 10:10 AM

My dad stole IKSOSE:3 from me once. I don't take my folks to shows.

deathscreamingsheep 01-08-2006 03:13 PM

My uncle goes to shows of his own accord.

comptonasseddy 01-08-2006 04:31 PM

I couldnt take my dad to a show, he'll just be like "wow, this band rock" while to do the \m/ sign. Not cool.

B 01-08-2006 06:37 PM

Oh dude. I just realized what \m/ is. I used to think it was like a fist or something :-/

hey, you're not cory! 01-08-2006 08:00 PM

I like when older people do that version of the \m/ but like, in the old "surfer" style where its the pinky and the thumb...good stuff, makes me laugh.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 01-09-2006 09:55 AM

I can imagine a major label representative old guy in a suit trying to sign a young new band and saying stuff like, "You guys rock" while attepmting to do the \m/ sign but instead doing a surfer sign.

deathscreamingsheep 01-09-2006 12:12 PM

It must happen a lot to be honest.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-09-2006 06:17 PM

Claudio's brother is a boxer.

He broke Claudio's hand.

The rest of their European dates are cancelled.

DepthsOfDreams555 01-09-2006 08:05 PM

Ya its been posted...

DJ Ducksauce 01-09-2006 08:17 PM

Yep, and his brother's name is Matthew, and Prize Fighter Inferno is also a boxer.

Coincidence?

hey, you're not cory! 01-09-2006 08:19 PM

Oh god, sorry I can't keep up with your constant updates...

I was just amused that his brother broke his hand.

DJ Ducksauce 01-09-2006 08:23 PM

Gosh Mike, keep up with the times man...:p

The Musician 01-11-2006 01:03 AM

PC Users with Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox: you need to run Internet Explorer to use MTV Overdrive.

Stupid Mtv...also, IE is set to block Flash :( I'll need to go over a friends to see it then.

DJ Ducksauce 01-13-2006 11:57 PM

Alright! I just got the graphic novel today! :D

Its a bit confusing though...

deathscreamingsheep 01-14-2006 08:01 AM

Where can you buy the graphic novel from?

I live in the UK and I don't have a Hot Topic or whatever they're called to check (although from what I've heard I'm not really missing out by not having one of those places near me).

DepthsOfDreams555 01-14-2006 09:36 AM

I love Hot Topic but you can order it off of Coheed's Merch store just go to their website. The graphic novel is confusing if you don't know what you're talking about but once you start to get everything its not that confusing. Basically I'm trying to say you can't just sit down read the GN and expect to know everything about GA.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 01-14-2006 11:09 AM

I still need to get the graphic novel :(. I'll get it for my birthday....in 6 days :)

DepthsOfDreams555 01-14-2006 11:12 AM

For that guy that made that thread about the Coheed Story without looking around I have an answer for you kind of. I'm pretty sure Devil In Jersey City had to do with the story but I have only seen that video like 5 times and last time I saw it was like 4 months ago. A Favor House Atlantic didn't have anything to do with the story but I remember reading somewhere that it just shows like a different side of the band or something I am not sure.

The Crowing video I think might of had little to do with the story but the whole band loves sci-fi movies and stuff so thats what they were shooting for there.

All the video's off the new album are related to the story.

DJ Ducksauce 01-14-2006 11:14 AM

Hot Topic also has an online store. I dunno if they do ship to the UK. Hot Topic is where all of the gothic people work. :p It's pretty expensive, but it's the only place i could fine the graphic novel.

It's kinda weird how they intertwine the story with the writer's mind. I love how a lot of the stuff references to the songs. I know it's supposed to, but it's still cool.

EDIT:

There's a Crowing video?

I'm pretty sure that The Suffering vid doesn't have anything to do with the story. I mean it's a centaur and a mermaid.

DIJC does have to do with the story. It has Coheed and Cambria in it. You can tell one is Coheed by the scars on his arms from the blades.

There's a video for The Crowing???

DepthsOfDreams555 01-14-2006 11:24 AM

Not The Crowing, I meant Blood Red Summer
Not The Crowing, I meant Blood Red Summer
oic.

Yeah, BRS didn't have anything to do with the story. I don't think any of the IKS videos had anything to do with the story.

Angry Balled Fists! 01-14-2006 11:35 AM

I'm loving Time Consumer atm.

Ya they only really had two. They made a Three Evils video but it was just off the Starland DVD.

Edit: Didn't realise it was about the videos.

On the topic of that, I can't also see how the Suffering video links into the story at all either.

DJ Ducksauce 01-17-2006 12:42 PM

It doesn't. At least I don't think it does either.

Holyed 01-17-2006 01:43 PM

Well apparantly the songs about a failed proposal on the writer's behalf as Erica won't marry him or something. I don't see how unicorns and mermaids fit into that.

Emphasise the fact that February dates are still on, i.e. British ones.

B 01-17-2006 01:46 PM

The suffering doesn't have anything to do with the story. It's more a display of their love for sci-fi stuff.

Holyed 01-17-2006 01:50 PM

Yeah, its actually a cool video as visuals go.
