I'm also interested in these guys, and hawkwind too |
Yeah, what is the best testament disc?
|
I'm looking for some new music to listen to. I listen to a lot of thrash and progressive rock/metal. I've been listening to Opeth a lot lately, possibly something similar to them. I'm also looking for some more obscure, really good metal bands. I'm open to new stuff, so whatever you think I'd be interested in would be great. Thanks.

Agalloch is somewhat similar to Opeth. Maybe you could check them out. |

Quo Vadis Behemoth Nile Katatonia Dredg Ozric tentacles Haggard Orphaned land Arcturus I´m giving you here a lot of different genres so try them all they are all great bands. |
What Nile albums would you reccomend?
I know almost nothing about the band, but have heard many great things. I'm a fan of anything that has brutal, raw guitar riffs. And what kind of vocal style are they? |
VERY harsh growls, I only have annhilation of the wicked and I love it to death

What is the best Burzum album?
|
Avenged Sevenfold :
Turn The Other Way Warmness on the Soul Second Heartbeat Remenissions Sidewinder Bat Country two songs from each album.
thank you!!!!!!!!! this band is so badass. but for some reason i downloaded 2 versions of bat country. one is the real thing, the other is some song i dont know. its kick *** though. anyone know what it is? |
What is the best Burzum album?
It depends what style of Burzum you're looking for. Varg's later work has ambient parts thrown in, as well as the raw black metal sound. I'd go with either Det Som Engang Var, or Hvis Lyset Tar Oss for starters. Hvis Lyset Tar Oss uses keyboards and has lots of ambience, if you're into that. If not, go for Det Som. For songs to check out... Lost Wisdom (Det Som Engang Var) Key To The Gate (Det Som Engang Var) War (Burzum) Det Som Engang Var (Hvis Lyset Tar Oss) Ea, Lord of the Depths (Burzum) Black Spell of Destruction (Burzum) |

I don't know what song it is, I never dled any of the songs so I never ran into that problem. Glad you like the band though. :) |
Repeating....
Best Testament album? |
Repeating....
Best Testament album?
Thrash wise i think testaments best album is the legacy. The Ritual is also a good album, but not thrash. |

If you like opeth try Disillusion (their album Back to Times of Splendour is amazing) and also Dark Suns, both are in similar vein as opeth. Some obscure bands, all definatley worth checking out if you can find anything by them. Thrash: Wargasm, Paradox, Osiris, Realm, Laaz Rockit Prog: Frantic Bleep, Moon of Steel, Indukti (highly recommend this band), Riverside |
