Yeah, some songs. It's frustrating though, because everyone says "how can you tap like that?" as I can do it pretty well. But then when I try to play a song with a simple, slow descending tapping lick my playing goes to hell. Oh well, I don't really care much for tapping anyway.

My friend feels the opposite. He can tap in order high-middle-low perfectly but can't do it any other way. I figured I was the wierd one.

I've seen randy rhodes do some pretty good tapping licks. God I wish he was still alive. :(

A good example was the solo to Flying High Again.

I use my index to tap as well. Find it more comfortable.

Well try out that 8 finger tap thing I posted above. It'll get you to use all 4 of your right hand fingers.

Just start with simple taps. Do it slowly until you become accurate and build up enough strength in your fingers to move onto faster and harder material.

When I did a gig for my college on last sunday, it was 24 degrees fahrenheit and I didn't have anything on other than pants and a shirt (socks and shoes as well). My joints in my fingers were almost completely stiff and I f*cked up every single one of my solos because of it.

A word of advice, never try any form of legato in the cold.:thumb:

Well, its the community thread, as if its never, EVER spammed. But damn dude, practice different tapping riffs and slow at first then faster. Anyone hate that feeling when someone your friends with hangs out with someone you dont like after he said he'd hang out with you and a (different) friend.

I finished writing this song using powertab..dunno if it makes sense as im pretty much 0 in theory..sounds okay though. No solo though...I cant make up solos for sh*t.

They say that Tabs are breaking copyright laws. Aren't tabs created by fans. They are never 100% right and no one is profiting from making tabs. The Music Industry is runned by some serious pricks.

My solos with sweeping=Sh!t. My solos with lots of melodicism(heh) I like. They are usually slower and are in my prog songs.
