Bleach it?
No, I'm black. You white people do that crap.

asdf 04-30-2005 10:00 AM

I started sewing patches on my jacket a couple days ago. I'm about half-way done. I'll post pictures when it's all done (and when I get my camera back from my brother).

Yesterday I went on a critical mass bike ride and there were a bunch of punk kids with home-made clothes. It was very fun and inspired me to make more of my own stuff.
In the spirit of DIY, Lets vote on what color i should dye my hair next !
last time i had spikes i made it so each one was a dfferent color there's an idea...

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 10:38 AM

Hahahah thats so awesome, but i dont spike my hair... :( I was telling this girl in my class that i wanted a mohawk and she started freaking out.. Im thinking of getting one just for Shock Factor, but then i relized that i love my hair.

asdf 04-30-2005 11:14 AM

I have no plans on getting a mohawk or cutting my hair short or anything. My long curly hair is beautiful.

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 11:22 AM

I'm defenitly waiting on a hair cut, cause i just got a real cool flat iron.

Two girls in my school got mowhawks, and they look totally retarded. They're both stupid.

Similarly, I need to cut my hair, but I dunno what to do with it. If anyone has any pictures of rad hairstyles I can copy/variate, that'd be swell.
 Kid.

You havn't even been here that long. You don't what this forum is really about.
This most talked about thing on this thread is mohawks.
It should be clothes and patch making.

Stop with the mohawk questions.
Everyone's hair is differnt.
Metty > You

Now shut up and stop complaining.

pimpy the pirate 04-30-2005 12:55 PM

whats the best way to put studs in your jacket?

Brain Toad 04-30-2005 12:56 PM
whats the best way to put studs in your jacket?
Pushing them in by hand and bending the prongs back with your fingers, or some sort of hard flat object if you can't do it by hand.

If the stud can't make the hole, use something narrow and sharp to start the hole to help the stude,

pimpy the pirate 04-30-2005 01:06 PM

would super glue work?

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 01:07 PM

why would you glue it? You push the little metal flaps into whatever you want them to be on.

Brain Toad 04-30-2005 01:08 PM

Super Glue would probably wear off and like Jess said, why would you do that, they have the prongs for a reason.
would super glue work?
super glue? that's the most half-*** way to put in a stud I've ever heard...

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 01:21 PM

I remember when i put a bunch of studs in my backpack my hands hurt like a bitch.

Anarchy&Peace 04-30-2005 01:45 PM

box cutter works like a charm and if you ever want to sew patches on your leather jacket use needles nose pliers to push/pull the needle through it helps A LOT

Flagjacket 04-30-2005 01:59 PM

Hey, just making sure, spray paint won't rub off of studs right away will it?

invrtedflag 04-30-2005 02:04 PM

i imagine if you prime them first it wont rub off at all

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 02:19 PM

Paint will mostly likely chip?

SantaDuJuan 04-30-2005 02:44 PM
Hey, just making sure, spray paint won't rub off of studs right away will it?
My God.
Use common knowledge.
Don't do that. Really, just buy painted studs. Don't paint them yourself.

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 02:45 PM

Dude, DIY?!?

invrtedflag 04-30-2005 02:46 PM

metal primer makes it so paint sticks to metal common knowledge how do you think cars are painted voodoo?

Brain Toad 04-30-2005 02:49 PM

Prime it first of course, and use a paint for metal, probably automotive paint. It will not cheap unless it is really banged, hit, scratched, and just plain beat up.

I have a good stock of automotive paint, so if I ever wanted to do it, it would cost me less to paint them then buy painted studs if I wanted coloured ones.

SantaDuJuan 04-30-2005 02:54 PM
Dude, DIY?!?
Haha, I strongly believe in DIY but we're 14 and up. We don't have 20 years of experince. It would much eaiser to buy them all ready studded and safe. Then to mess them up and have to buy new ones.

Jessizzle 04-30-2005 02:58 PM

I never bought studs, i just thought it was cool to make a checkerd pattern out of my belt, then i had mucho leftover. So i had my fun.

asdf 04-30-2005 03:21 PM

The only studs I have came off a pair of socks my mom had from the 80's. They're now on my backpack. I hurt myself putting one of them on. It got stuck under my nail :(

SantaDuJuan 04-30-2005 03:41 PM

Wow that would hurt.

Saberpunk 04-30-2005 04:44 PM

invrtedflag 04-30-2005 05:11 PM

thats odd

asdf 04-30-2005 09:04 PM
studded socks?
Yeah, they had studs around the edge.

Don't ask, I don't get it either...
