i just like them, full stop. good music, good musicians, good everything. i reckon joey's an awesome drummer, micks an awesome guitarist, and corey's vocals fit awesomely.

panthersfan16 08-13-2005 08:20 AM

Yeah I'm more a fan of Corey. Mick and Joey are awesome at what they do, but i really like Corey's voice. He sounds good no matter what he sings imo

Mr Herb 08-13-2005 09:07 AM

slipknot's bassist dissapoints me

Huber 08-13-2005 09:20 AM

Fix the double post.

He isn't there currently to do anything fantastic, and he admits that. He has shown some great bass work on Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat though.

blackthorne 08-13-2005 09:40 AM

i can respect that slipknot are great musicians but they are just not my kinda music

if you know what i mean

Just Consider this, I feel, altough you may disagree with me, that Corey screaming ruins a lot of the music, Now I posted about the album IOWA a few pages back, and I still think that Slipknot's music would be better if Corey sang, instead of screamed. :thumb:

Their music doesnt seem as heavy as it was in Iowa. I liked when he screamed though the song on the Subliminal album are still good. Mick and James are my favorite guys cuz they play the guitar. Joey is really awesome.

exup 08-13-2005 11:21 AM
Sublimital Versus tour. they were suppost to be filming every show, and pick the best songs from all the shows and put them on the dvd i think.
hope there is some Amsterdam stuff in, maibe see my own head :D
but i did not see cameras over there (wasn't looking for one actually)

the nameless 08-16-2005 04:48 AM
all my friends like slipknot and i try to listen to it but find it soo boring

im not being stupid but how do you like slipknot?? just wondering
Boring? And from your avatar im guessing you are a Maiden fan, yet you can say Slipknot are boring? Bizzare

Mr. Black 08-16-2005 10:39 AM

This thread keeps coming and going, lets keep it here for now is subliminal verses 3 any good

Down'd Angel 08-16-2005 10:53 AM

vol 3 is good in its own way...it is different from their first two...i think you'd get mixed emotions about it...

people that never like slipknot before like them now due to this album and only this album...while some people dont like it that have liked slipknot from the very beginning...

personally...i think it is a great album...it shows how they have expanded over the years as musicians...and have been able to express themselves way differently from their S/T (which is my fav. by the way)...

tomtom 08-18-2005 01:55 AM

yes. that's it. subliminal verses is awesome. i'm listeing 2 it now lol. i think the more "refined" sound (if u get what i mean) makes it easy to listen to. i think this is the best album yet. it just sound more tidy. can't wait for tha next album. Before I Forget is awesome, and vermillion pt2 is awesome. the wholy bloody things awesome.

WHAT THE F**K......DISAPOINTS YOU?....IF PAUL DISAPPOINTS YOU THEN YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO TASTE AT ALL...*******!

Shaft! 08-20-2005 07:27 AM

I agree, I was dissappointed in their bassist and guitarists, but this is only in their recent material. I've heard excellent things about their first album, so I may just download it someday to hear what people like about it.
I won't ever say they're boring, however. They do have some cool masks, and their stage shows are quite violent, apparently.

Mother_Of_Abominations 08-20-2005 12:30 PM

and Mr.Herb, you have your opinion and I have mine, but try to keep the criticism to a minimum.

born_into_darkness3 08-20-2005 04:24 PM

Paul is an awesome bassist.

Did anyone hear about slipknot suing BurgerKing for their new kok rock commercial? They were talking about it on the radio a few days ago. I guess slipknot doesnt want anybody stealing their UNIQUE image.

Slipknot shouldn't worry about little things like that, even though the masks do look simmilar.

BassRevelation1029 08-21-2005 10:18 PM

whats so good about slipknot?

Huber 08-21-2005 11:01 PM

We get so many of these posts...

What's so good about em'? The diversity of all there albums, the tribal sound, the vocals (for most people anyways), and I'm sure tons of other things varying from person to person. You can't answer that so easily.

Nicely put, if you have never see them live. Then you dont know why alot of people listen to them. There live shows are so energetic, they have Sid jumping into the crowd from the rafters. Such great stuff when there live.
