Got a question also. How come most of the Titans dislike Pantera? Their first two albums are classics. May not be Thrash to the max, but they're a good effort and have some great riffs and solos.

^^ they are crap. its simple really. Dimebag Darrel is a wanker. Phil Alsemo is a wanker. The other two are wankers. Darrel can play a good solo, but thats about all pantera have going for them

Anyway, to almost try and not spam, Angeldeath = great old school thrashy death. Just got their cd today, it rules.

pantera isnt technically thrash metal, they are a bit too groovy for that.
they kick as$ anyway.

I have never liked the heavey-for-heavys-sake 90's pantera, although I do rather enjoy 'power metal' and 'i am the night' ... haven't heard their first two.

I pretty much just hate them because of their fan base and how people acknowledge cowboys as their first album but forget what came before it.

I hate Pantera. Useless band. I hate the tough guy crap, the guitar and drums sound and 95% of their songs.

And they ripped off Exhorder who were far, far better.

Pantera is the sh*t man! I think they were a great band, thrash or not. They don't have to be thrash to be great.

EDIT: I think manuscript just gets pissed at people who don't do what he likes and can play music much better.

I'm not too keen on Pantera either.

i downloaded walk and loved it

Pantera=Meh meaning I wouldn't buy a cd but I'd download a couple songs.Also Black Sabbath wasn't very fast but they are still loved by almost every metal fan and most rock fans too.

Also I found out how fast my internet connection at my moms house is so I've been downloading vids like crazy :thumb: if anyone can recomend some good vids or if someone has a slow connection and would like screenshots or somethin **cough Dargon cough** jus tell/ask.

Also I'm goin for 500 posts by the end of this weekend.

No, not a rule...since there are no rules. But slow, sludgy, crunchy(I.E. a lot of doom) riffs are generally a lot heavier than speed speed speed thrash.

What part of children of the corn, i've seen that movie...that was the day i got god hates us all and changed my views on what music is...yes I don't care, I like god hates us all and it's what got me into slayer.

I disagree completely. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on it. The riffs are very boring and don't live up to Pantera standards. The vocals aren't very good and the lyrics aren't either. I would recommend downloading some of the songs and form your own opinion on them.
