Dave writes incredible riffs So I'm glad that he is in MegaDeth we got two
great bands.

Dave: Hey guys can I come back?
James &Lars: No you sellout!

LoL That would be funny
Ok, but it was James and lars that were the sellouts. IE Nothing Else Matters.

A good song to teach absolute guitar noobs fingerpicking but that's about it.

More like
James & Lars:Plz cum bck Dave we luv u
Dave: Fuck no.
Megadeth never sold out.

I'm sorry but I could never see James and Lars begging dave to come back.

They're so wrapped up in their make 10's and hundreds of millions, that it's
unlikely that they'll actually have a heart and bring dave back.

I've always wondered what metallica would've been like had they not kicked dave out. The song ideas that dave has are incredible. Imagine a song that's a mixture of Take No Prisoners with MOP. That would've been the epitome of thrash right there. Or Sanitarium with 5 Magics.

Jev 10-17-2005 01:00 PM

They'd be more ginger for certain.
They'd be more ginger for certain.
The funny thing is that if James and Lars had done this whole go to therapy sh*t, Dave is a lot more vocal about things than kirk so I wouldn't put it past Dave to start a fistfight. Especially while he was still on drugs and booze.

Lars: We need to go to therapy

Dave: What, fu*k you buddy I ain't psycho

James: /sobs It hurts my feeling when you curse

Jev 10-17-2005 01:16 PM

haha. Dave turned into a Christian ages ago and went through rehab. He's relatively nice person now*

*okay he still gets pissed at people and tries to kill them.

Like I said, he strikes me as the type of person that's similar to a disgruntled postal worker.

iamkirk 10-17-2005 01:32 PM
Yeah right. Dave was straight into Megadeth with no intention of rejoining because he hated them guys.
So all the "I wish I was still in Metallica", "Metallica are better than Megadeth", and his constant moaning is just blatant lies? No wonder all his band members are always leaving, the way Mustaine talks about Megadeth is so disrespectful to the rest of the band. Dunno whats wrong with him though because Megadeth rock.

I don't know I've never heard him say that, he only says Metallica are better because they've sold more and he fires the band members constantly anyway.

Joe 10-17-2005 01:57 PM
They were in an episode of South Park ages ago. It was something to do with Stan, Kyle and Kenny doing a protest. I remember Metallica being the first to arrive.

None of their voices were used.
This man here is right.

The SIMPSONS episode they just recorded will be aired in mayish.

I agree. I think the Metallica vs. Dave fued ended awhile back after Dimebag's death.

dave ended all his fueds. Kerry King still holds a grudge I think.

"Sold out" is such a bullshit term. They changed, and made a lot of money. They've changed again, to a newer sound no one has ever made. Why do that and try to make oodles of money?

I can't believe the criticism these guys get for their money. Why do you care so much? Do you think they give a rat's ass about you calling them sellouts?

Anyways, Dave has said in interviews that he likes "those guys"*. I think he'd just like an apology.

*Metallica

edit:
Hell yeah! I can say ass!

KICK ASS!

METAL UP YOUR ASS!

Britton 10-17-2005 04:14 PM

Guys come on...I make a really dumb joke and everyone has to reply to it?

I was kidding...MegaDeth have not/will sellout...and Neither has Metallica
they just got sick of making thrash and took a artistic step in another direction.
Nobody sold out they just grew tired.

Kirk:Dave we love you.
(raspy voice) Fuck you!

I love Dave

OMG i LOVE THE NEW FILTER!

Metal up you're ass

metalmilitia101 10-17-2005 09:40 PM

i love the new filter its the poop.

metallica is the ***** bitch

BITCH

Audiopond 10-17-2005 09:52 PM

1. I heard James Hetfield learned guitar from Toni Iommi and Kirk Hammett learned from Joe Satriani is this true?

and

2. I JUST bought the S&M dvd and I have to say it kicks ass

ThrashMaster27 10-17-2005 09:54 PM

Kirk Hammett had lessons with Joe Satriani after Kill 'Em All, but wasn't taught how to play from him. The Hetfield one seems highly unlikely.

Chu 10-17-2005 09:55 PM

Don't believe Hetfield learnt from Iommi.. But yeah, Hammett is definately Satriani's failure :p

I heard somewhere Cliff had to teach Kirk the leads from Kill 'em All :?

Britton 10-17-2005 10:07 PM

That's BS man Hammet owned in exodus before he knew who cliff was.

do you mean he just showed him?

I'm sure James has played with Iommi. They sat down back about 12 13
years ago and had a interview and a lesson. But no way was hetfield
taught by Iommi. Other then the way Hetfield taught me to play guitar.

that's cool I can say that

Bazarov 10-17-2005 10:10 PM
Don't believe Hetfield learnt from Iommi.. But yeah, Hammett is definately Satriani's failure :p

I always heard that Kirk learned most of the musical theory from Cliff. But I never heard that (about being taught the leads).

Britton 10-17-2005 10:14 PM

Yea Cliff was a big loss.

Once Metallica was trying to figure out what timing a song
off MOP was and cliff was the only one who knew what it was

metalhead_matt 10-18-2005 01:48 AM

hammetts looking worse all the time..he needs to nail this next album

Satriani says kirk's better than him

lightningmetal666 10-18-2005 12:10 PM
Satriani says kirk's better than him
Um, then satriani is a little confused or deluded. Maybe he sees talent in those that have none.

:smash:

j/k

Kirk's good but not better than satch.

Jev 10-18-2005 12:14 PM

He's probably being modest.

fatbandit 10-18-2005 12:48 PM

Or maybe he's seen Kirk shred some stuff out that we've never seen...?
Or maybe he's seen Kirk shred some stuff out that we've never seen...?

If Kirk's hiding some magical talent then why the hell must he hide it and cover everything in wah?

fatbandit 10-18-2005 12:58 PM

Uhh... Its in aid of being commercial and selling records :D

No, I dunno. I'm sure James is capable of far more than he shows, so why can't Kirk be? Except for the fact that its his role to be an exhibitionist... Shush...

:)

:smash:

(PS, I like Wah... :upset: )

Jev 10-18-2005 01:03 PM

I like wah too just not in every song.

fatbandit 10-18-2005 02:15 PM

Nah man, overuse it to the max!

:D

K3rry King 10-18-2005 03:18 PM

I used to listen to Metallica ALOT they were great! But I've sort of gone off them now, not sure why
I used to listen to Metallica ALOT they were great! But I've sort of gone off them now, not sure why
Yeah, there's just periods of time when you're into some things, and completely forget about bands you listened to before. Everyone does that.
I used to listen to Metallica ALOT they were great! But I've sort of gone off them now, not sure why
I used to listen to them religiously but then i branched out. I don't listen to them much anymore but they remain one of my favourites.
