metalmilitia101 10-16-2005 02:31 PM

yeah...

flame me for this idc but i think kirk is more suited for metallica than dave can ever be. if dave stuck with metallica, they would undoubtedly never have come up with the great stuff in mop and other albums, albeit they would have wonderful songs, but i think they just wouldn't have been as great sounding. and plus....now there's megadeth and metallica lol. if dave was in metallica there would be no megadeth and that would be sad. kirk belongs to metallica, and dave belongs to megadeth. they could not switch.

angusmaster 10-16-2005 02:32 PM
Now,whos marty?
He was in a speed metal band with Jason Becker called "Cacophony". Then he tried out and got into Megadeth after the Chris Polland days.
Marty Friedman = GOD
Correction: Marty Friedman > GOD

Jackson_Guitarist 10-16-2005 07:47 PM
Then he tried out and got into Megadeth after the Chris Polland days.
Actually, it was after Jeff Young.

Jackson_Guitarist 10-16-2005 07:59 PM
Actually, it was after Jeff Young.
I didn't know that. I thought I was the leet Megadeth fan.:upset:

Chu 10-16-2005 08:07 PM

Meh, So Far So Good... So What! is probably my favourite Megadeth album, so I know the line-up. Why Jeff Young quit etc.
I thought he suited Megadeth very well for their pure Speed days though.

Jackson_Guitarist 10-16-2005 08:11 PM

Alright can someone help me out here. I can't find pics of Marty Friedman's wife.

Chu 10-16-2005 08:17 PM

Took me ages to even find her name
Chihiro Friedman I think?

Edit: I already give up.

Britton 10-16-2005 09:11 PM

Darkness 10-16-2005 09:12 PM

metalmilitia101 10-16-2005 11:02 PM

ThrashMaster27 10-16-2005 11:36 PM

They were in an episode of South Park ages ago. It was something to do with Stan, Kyle and Kenny doing a protest. I remember Metallica being the first to arrive.

None of their voices were used.

mr black 10-17-2005 05:51 AM
James and Lars on the phone: Hello, Dave?
Dave: What do you want?!!
James and Lars: We are sorry, we love you come back.

Pretty much what it would happen.
More like a daily phone call from Dave.

Dave: Can I rejoin today then? I love Metallica.
James and Lars: Ok, seeing as Kirk's dead.

Jev 10-17-2005 09:24 AM
More like a daily phone call from Dave.

James and Lars: Ok, seeing as Kirk's dead.
Yeah right. Dave was straight into Megadeth with no intention of rejoining because he hated them guys.

metalmilitia101 10-17-2005 10:52 AM

yeah pretty much. and kirk is still alive, i just wish he'd show it.

lightningmetal666 10-17-2005 12:01 PM
yeah pretty much. and kirk is still alive, i just wish he'd show it.
I think he wanted more of place in writing songs. Unfortunately, he sucks at that with exception of leads. He writes some really good lead guitar but I don't see him as a kick@$$ riffer. It seems to me that's more of James' area of expertise (which dave is even better at)

metalmilitia101 10-17-2005 12:15 PM

yeah james makes up some great riffs. and too bad cliff is gone, because he had some cool ones too.

Jev 10-17-2005 12:18 PM

James wouldn't let kirk write anything at all until load. There were a few exceptions.

lightningmetal666 10-17-2005 12:22 PM
James wouldn't let kirk write anything at all until load. There were a few exceptions.
I just remembered something. I remember seeing an interview where kirk was saying that alot of stuff on MOP including the song were inspired by Cliff trying to play guitar. I remember kirk saying that he and cliff were bunked up in some motel coming up with new riffs. Cliff would write something on the guitar and Kirk would fu*k with it a little and eventually they wrote sh*t like MOP and Battery.

Jev 10-17-2005 12:25 PM

I don't know for sure it's just I've heard that James was so nazi with the band that he wouldn't let Kirk write anything, he probably came up with some riffs but James strung the songs together.

lightningmetal666 10-17-2005 12:27 PM

Well being that James and Lars are the only two original founding members left I can see the Nazism, though I don't like it.

Britton 10-17-2005 12:35 PM

Dave writes incredible riffs So I'm glad that he is in MegaDeth we got two
great bands.

Dave: Hey guys can I come back?
James &Lars: No you sellout!

LoL That would be funny
