Why do the names of the Official Threads keep changing?

Special Brew 08-23-2005 05:23 PM

They changed again? Which ones?

Special Brew 08-23-2005 05:24 PM

MBS 08-23-2005 05:29 PM

Yes,what is this AIM invader you speak of, Madey?

Edit: Yeah it sounds like someone is using that against you. Log on a different screen name for the time being.

Vince: Arizona State isn't on any of them. Nyah nyah, your college sucks :p

Remember a few months ago when I posted a "top ten musicians of the 20th century"? Me and my stepdad were talking about it at dinner and concluded that yes, it is impossible. We compliled a whole bunch of musicians who belong to be on there. These are the ones I can remember, at least:
Django Reinhardt
Miles Davis
Duke Ellington
James Brown
Elvis Presley
Chuck Berry
Bo Diddley
The Beatles
Woody Guthrie
Hank Williams
Johnny Cash
Bob Dylan
Lou Reed
Jimi Hendrix
Kraftwerk
Robert Johnson
B.B. King
Muddy Waters
Bob Marley
Run-DMC
Ravi Shankar
Pete Townshend/The Who

Catching up on the news:

WELCOME BACK HOME JELLE! *stokes fireplace*

Drugs/Drinking/Driving talk: Yeah, the local police do a lot of hiring underage kids to bust drug rings in schools, shops selling to minors, etc. The legal age in Ausland is 18 for drinking and 17 for your provisional drivers license. I find it amusing that America doesn't let you get tipsy until 21, but gives you a lethal weapon (a car) at the age of 16.

Defense talk: If anyone breaks into my house, I keep the two daggers I've shown you guys, a stanley knife with a 6cm razor-sharp blade, and a wooden cricket bat next to my bed.

How about a phone? Let the police know that there's a very bruised and cut up man just broken into your house.

I'm more in favour of rolling the body out the door and into the nearest creek, then using bleach on the carpet.

Arucard 08-23-2005 07:40 PM

 @ Riva's tactics.

Well, i need sleep. I also love Yasuo Uragami to death at the minute, i posted a link to some of his stuff two pages back which of course, no one downloaded but w/e. Its great tunes.

Good night.

Endless Obsession 08-23-2005 07:41 PM

How would I go about converting a file thats in Guitar Pro 4 (MIDI) to MP3?

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-23-2005 08:16 PM

Why would you want it in mp3 format? I'll tell you if you have a valid reason. :-D

Just watched Sin City. Fail to see what is so brilliant about it though. :-/ stfu Modchris.

I think it's still the best movie of the year so far, even over Batman Begins.

Dancin' Man 08-23-2005 08:40 PM

Hey guys. I'm really tired. I need sleep. I've been dozing at the wheel all day. I drove 180 miles today. First, a 90 mile drive back to my town from a friends house. Then constant driving to work, to home, to band, to guitar lesson, to home, back to band to home. Gayness.

Also, I saw Hustle and Flow. It is terrible. Awful. I also saw Y tu mamá también and that was good.

Some states give you a car at 14. A few of the farming states need the younger children to get licences early so they can drive tractors around. So it is different from state to state.

For example, in New Jersey you dont get a full uncoditional licence til 18.

jpj 08-23-2005 09:02 PM

Here (in WV) you get a learner's permit at 15, and a license at 16. But you can't drive between 11 PM and 5 AM, until you're 18.

Illmatic 08-23-2005 09:04 PM

In MA, you get your permit when you are 16, then you can get your license at 16 years 6 mos., but only if you have passed driver's ed. then after you get your license you are not allowed to have anyone in the car without a licensed driver over 21 for six months.

Dancin' Man 08-23-2005 09:04 PM

NY is permit at 16, restricted license 6 months after you get permit (or turn 18) and full license at 17 with drivers ed, 18 without.

Walrus Gumboot 08-23-2005 09:05 PM

CT has graduated licensing, 16- pemit, 16.5 license, and after you have had your license for 6mo. you can drive with your friends (Sometimes I wish it was longer, I need an excuse not to drive with some of my friends  )

Kurtz 08-23-2005 09:07 PM

Here in California, I think it's once you turn 15 or 15 1/2 you can sign up for Driver's Ed and then take the written test to get your permit. After six months of behind-the-wheel training you can get your license.

Permanent Solution 08-23-2005 09:12 PM

I still have my license...and four tickets

ATM 08-23-2005 09:13 PM

I still have my liscense and 6 tickets

Illmatic 08-23-2005 09:14 PM

I have three tickets :-\

Lunch 08-23-2005 09:14 PM

In Maryland you can get your permit at 15 and 9 months, then your provisional license at 16 and 1 month. After going 18 months without getting a ticket or an accident, you get the provisionals taken off.

Permanent Solution 08-23-2005 09:15 PM

All speeding?

I just got my provisionals off a few weeks ago.

See...two of mine are um...reckless driving...

RCA 08-23-2005 09:20 PM

I've got zero tickets, but I do have one large piece of scrapmetal sitting in my backyard.

Dancin' Man 08-23-2005 09:23 PM

I have no tickets, one dead car and one living car. I lie, I had one parking ticket, but here your first parking offence every 6 months is ignored. I win.

Illmatic 08-23-2005 09:24 PM

I have one for speeding, two for parking at an expired parking meter

RCA 08-23-2005 09:27 PM

We all suck at driving.

Kingofdudes 08-23-2005 09:28 PM

In Mississippi, you can get your full license by 16, you can skip the 6 month permit phase when you are 17. You can drive tractors without a license here.

I have 0 tickets.
