6stringslinger 05-14-2005 10:32 PM

Skit 05-15-2005 05:01 AM

kill_em_all 05-15-2005 05:09 AM

Squirrel 05-15-2005 05:27 AM

how the hell do you guys have anything worth talking about anymore

metalcritter666 05-15-2005 08:25 AM
how the hell do you guys have anything worth talking about anymore
What do you mean?

Jev 05-15-2005 08:33 AM

I think he means we keep talking about the same things over and over, like is st anger good or bad, who played bass ect.

Mazeppa 05-15-2005 08:34 AM
What do you mean?
I think he's wondering how the thread got so big, and keeps getting bigger.

They don't :)
I think he means we keep talking about the same things over and over, like is st anger good or bad, who played bass ect.
He's got a point actually. We need to think of a new topic.

CemetaryGates9 05-15-2005 12:18 PM

ok. New topic. This has probably been done before, but put the Metallica albums in order of favoritism.

Joe 05-15-2005 12:21 PM
They don't :)
/spam. lol

well that's why we should keep going on with Chu's idea, you know, review a song. I'm supposed to be doing a Battery review... but in the meantime someone can do somethin else

Deth 05-15-2005 12:52 PM
ok. New topic. This has probably been done before, but put the Metallica albums in order of favoritism.
Oh boy has this been done before.

Here's a topic, who would be an ideal opening band for Metallica? Keep it realistic though. My vote goes to Iced Earth.

CemetaryGates9 05-15-2005 12:54 PM

ANthrax. Velvet Revovler. Shadows FAll.

lilmetallica 05-15-2005 01:19 PM

It would be weird if echobrain opened up for them but i doubt thats gunna happened  but a serious answer might be velvet revolver or maybe megadeth(never gunna happened though  )

Deth 05-15-2005 01:20 PM

I don't think the fans would be too happy with VR. I wouldn't be anyway. Anthrax would be amazing though.

metalcritter666 05-15-2005 01:27 PM

Exodus/Heathen, please not any more nu-metal bands.

Deth 05-15-2005 01:31 PM

I saw them with Godsmack (who I hate) but at least they put on a pretty decent show.

Mars Ulrich 05-15-2005 01:38 PM
depends on era of metallica you are talking about Kill 'em all-And justice, Black-Reload, or St. Anger. There are very good songs from each era (exept St. Anger IMO) and each song from the different eras are very different.
how is everyone missing out the mighty ride the lightning (album)? IMO fwtbt has to be up there with Metallica's best songs.

Mars Ulrich 05-15-2005 01:40 PM
I saw them with Godsmack (who I hate) but at least they put on a pretty decent show.
VR kikass, but i think the best eva concert line up wud b iron maiden and metallica (playing old stuff coz the new is nowhere near as good)...that wud b awsome!!! comments anyone?

metalcritter666 05-15-2005 01:44 PM

That was ages ago though.

Iced Earth?

I would except Iced Earth to open for a band like maiden more than metallica. Would be cool if they did though.

I wouldn't mind seeing Soad open for metallica.

FlyingPaul_83 05-15-2005 02:38 PM

Anthrax or Slayer

dethmetalhead 05-15-2005 03:04 PM

dethmetalhead

some other kick *** metallica songs are:

seek and destroy
blackened
the god that failed
harvester of sorrow
for whom the bell tolls
to live is to die

dethmetalhead 05-15-2005 03:08 PM
That was ages ago though.
It doesn't matter how old the song is. It is obvious that good albums, like ride the lightning, stand the test of time

That's what I meant...that quote he posted came from a long time ago.

Welcome to the forums by the way.

Deth 05-15-2005 05:23 PM

First of all, don't double post. Second, punctuation is good, as is spelling and correct sentence structure.

Battery's not hard, there are good tabs at mxtabs which as far as I can tell are very accurate.

A new Metallica album will probably come around next year, and all bets are off on what it will sound like.

I actually had a dream a few weeks ago that at the Velvet Revolver concert that i'm going to next weekend that they'd have a surprise guest that would turn out to be Metallica... but anyways I think Velvet Revolver would be a cool opener
does anyone no wen a new metallica cd with new songs is coming out it had better be like master of puppets but scince hetfield blew his voice on black album its probly going2 sound like a mix of iron maiden and nirvana like st anger lol.
it better be better than IM or Nirvana. Metallica can't go grunge and the IM singer gets to me after awhile... and it won't be out until '06 or '07. I know you're new, but please try actually typing rather than typing like it's AIM or something. and by the way, welcome to MX
yeah i no but it dosent seem lke it follows the guitar. do you no how 2 play it on bass cuz i need help not just encouregment and or sympythy.
i think bass would be hard just because they were talking about how rob did it so much better than jason and he did a good job... but i haven't tried battery. once again, please type a little more normal, thanks.
