I recall the awesome song titles of White Pony being one of the reasons I bought it in the first place. One of the best impulse purchases I've ever made.

Anonymity 06-30-2006 11:49 PM
Anonymity - I actually am not sure if that either. Adam Jones makes it sounds like it seriously sucks to make music with Tool, but that in the end, the reward is greater than the blood/sweat/tears lost. :-/
What do you mean Adam Jones doesnt like working with Tool? is this from an interview?

I really love how Tool can have a phycological work on a persons mind. For instance the song "Die Eier Von Satan" the first 3 words are not within the english language so its unknown what those 3 words denote. The word Satan however is the one that stands out, so thoughts begin to wonder around in your head thats not good. So you hear the song and it has a very dark, morbid creepy sound, including that german voice that just tops it off. YOu dont know what the hell he's saying, but there's alot of emphasis behind the voice. So you think if this band is satanic or not which they've been rewarded with plenty of times. But then you find out that its just a reciept for cake and the words the title translateds "The Eggs of Satan" lol, I dont know about you guys, but people judge to quickly and when they find out it was just some joke, you look stupid after words. The greatest modern man around.

I really love Aenima right now. Such a great album. I could listen to Third Eye all day.

Yeah, I usually don't notice it when I pass another thousand.

SmashingPumpkin 07-02-2006 10:14 PM

Does anyone know where I can find any good Tool bootlegs?

Huber 07-02-2006 10:31 PM

Nevermind, I found the Oklahoma Show. VERY awesome.

And I'd like to provide a link for all of you.

They have 4 full Tool concert videos on there. I downloaded the one from '92. It's pure awesomeness especially becasue the club they played at was so small. Really intimate.

clearvision 07-09-2006 07:04 AM

Is this still the minitour? Or did that all fall through :-/

Adam Jones is GOD 07-09-2006 07:11 AM

Im pretty sure this is the serious tour now. Since songs like Opiate have been sneaking into the staple setlist, it seems MJKs voice is ready for a more testing setlist variation.

Be interesting to see where any potential winter tour goes to

Prince of Darkness 07-09-2006 07:17 AM

ha, Isis opening for Tool.
I bet that put a few smiles on faces.

Tyr 07-10-2006 05:45 AM

Man, I saw Tool live at the Metaltown festival in Gothenburg. F**cking awesome! The biggest surprise to me was that they played 'The Pot', but it was unbelievebly good!

Huber 07-12-2006 12:58 PM

Hey guys. I asked the guitar forum this but they didn't respond, so I thought I'd ask you guys considering I know a lot of you are guitar players.

I was going to get some new pickups in my guitar today. I was full on excited and was like "Hell yeah, EMGs baby!" But then I went to play some guitar before I was going to leave and found my wannabe Adam Jones tone and wondered if I could ever get that distorted but so clear Adam Jones sound with EMGs. Is that possible?

I know that his tone is like the holy grail of tones and can't be nailed because of all the specifics, but sometimes you can get so close ya know? Just don't want to be stuck with those muddy metal tones because of my pickups.

I was looking at some Seymour Duncan pickups and they seem like a good idea. Just need a little help deciding.

SmashingPumpkin 07-12-2006 05:03 PM

Any chance that Tool will come back to the States in 2007 for a tour?

I am probably not able to make the September 7th show in Los Angeles because of school just starting up and such, but might be able to get to the Bakersfield show on September 5th.

Daven 07-12-2006 05:07 PM

Any chance Tool will be touring Latina AMerica??

:upset:

Huber 07-12-2006 06:02 PM

I'm seeing Tool at the Street Scene in San Diego. Now that those new dates are up I guess I'll be able to see them again!
