No, not a mistake, a glorious deed

Johnny B. Good 02-09-2005 10:05 PM

Great minds think alike... well I actually have an extremely weak mind :upset:

Johnny B. Good 02-09-2005 10:12 PM

Rush it is then. Neil Peart is such a good drummer. He alos wrote their songs which is weird because drummers don't normally write songs

Haha, yeah, I just noticed that yesterday.[/QUOTE]

It was only created yesterday.

Hello all.

Huber 02-09-2005 10:13 PM

Tomas Haake writes almost every Meshuggah song.

i am the robots 02-09-2005 10:21 PM

The drummer from Cold Like Desember wrote all their songs.

Has anyone else got mad eye strain from spending too much time on the computer?

Cain 02-09-2005 10:23 PM

Rush's lyrics can be laughable occaisionally though. It's actually the period in the '80s where Peart is at his finest. I don't understand why everyone slams the '80s Rush, personally: the synth use, while abundant, isn't as overwhelming as everyone thinks, and the music is very catchy very often.

Johnny B. Good 02-09-2005 10:25 PM

I agree, 80's Rush is good, but I still prefer 70's Rush

I think I should have, but I never seem to move away from the computer long enough to find out.

My eyes are so fuked and if I keep this up I might need glasses which I don't want because I'm the only one in my family who doesn't naturally need glasses, but the forums are so addicting.

Me too. "Hemispheres" is Lifeson's technical pinnicle on guitar, IMO: he shreds all over the place, and this is the days before Yngwie. Pretty dam impressive.

His voice got better as it aged. I hate the screeching elf style of before.
