Anybody heard Laconist? They just put out a 2 song EP, they've got a full length coming soon apparently. Listening to "Subdogma: God" on their MySpace and I quite like it.

the layered vocals in the beginning need the highs louder in the mix, but this is pretty badass

Second song off the EP is good, too, even if the riffs are a little too busy. Plus the snakes on their background look kinda vaginal so elite metal points there.

The stuff from their other EP is okay, too. Kinda shitty sounding. But the two songs from the new one seem great, I'm anticipating a decent full length hopefully down the road.

im saying theyre classics because of their influence. the fact that i dont like them and dont want them to influence anyone has no bearing on the fact that they [i]did[/i] have a lot of influence.

it's not really retarded, someone could dislike mozart but still recognise the influence he had on music. someone could dislike the beatles but still appreciate the transformations they encouraged to contemporary music.

i didn't mind Once Upon The Cross and Deicide the others didnt really move me in any way.

My favorite Deicide album is S/T. The production on that album is godly, and Oblivious to Evil has the best headbanging riffs ever.
