I wondered why the Official thread names were changed...
To stop people from doing the whole ***OFFICIAL*** thing in their titles, hopefully. Or, just so it'd be easier to find in the search.

/guess

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-22-2005 12:16 PM

Modchris has a thing against stars.

evilmenhavenosongs 08-22-2005 12:22 PM

I like the new name of the Tool thread. :p

CaptainWaits 08-22-2005 12:27 PM
I like the new name of the Tool thread. :p
That came as a surprise to me...

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-22-2005 12:30 PM
I like the new name of the Tool thread. :p
I got scared for a second, because I searched the first few pages for it, and I was like omfg, they deleted all 950 of my posts in that thread! Then I saw it on the front page under a different name. It's quite the name, I must say. GG to AJIG for the idea, too.

Mr. Squiggles 08-22-2005 12:56 PM
I wondered why the Official thread names were changed...
Yeah, at first I though that someone made a Metallica thread and I was going to report it, then I realized it was the Official thread.

Arucard 08-22-2005 01:03 PM

New avatar beotches. If you don't know who Bridge To Solace are, i made a thread on them ages ago and heres the purevolume.
I would show you my proof, but I already packed my camera :upset:
I'm jealous now. Uni is in the city I live, I wont be moving away :(

Illmatic 08-22-2005 01:16 PM

Happy birthday to former Giants, Jets, and Patriots coach Bill Parcells, baseball Hall-of-Famer and Red Sox legend Carl Yastrzemski, former Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid, and the Wu-Tang Clan's GZA :)

In the comics section of the Boston Globe they have a "What Happened On This Day" bit, which includes birthdays of famous people. So...yeah.

So I've also begun to pack for college.

Also, Woodstock: The Movie on VH1 Classic all weekend pissed me off. I love that channel, and I've already seen Woodstock: The Movie.

Stoic 08-22-2005 01:23 PM

it's begun, I understood nothing from the first two paragraphs nevermind :p

So now that you're all back to school/college/uni will you be on as much as you were the whole summer? I have no idea about my schedule yet but I'm sure I'll be on maybe not the whole day but at least every night :)

evilmenhavenosongs 08-22-2005 01:30 PM

I'm going to try and be much better this year with homework and organising things. I'll probably still be on an hour or so at nights though seeing as MX is my background to MSN. I like to lurk in R&M a lot but rarely post or drag threads off topic in the Pit.

At first I probably won't be on as much, but then I'll hit my wall of laziness and be on more.

Arucard 08-22-2005 01:31 PM

Same here when i go back to College.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-22-2005 01:32 PM

I'm going to be on less once school starts, and once my social life is in full swing again. This summer, I've gotten probably 30 ppd on average, which is about double my overall average of 14ish.

Anyways, I just started reading the wierdest book, called Our Lady of the Forest. It's about this girl who was raped as a child, and now she picks mushrooms for a living. It's quite good so far.

Arucard 08-22-2005 01:34 PM

That sounds like such a pwnage book.

Illmatic 08-22-2005 01:34 PM

Also, I will very rarely be on on Friday and Saturday nights.

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-22-2005 01:39 PM

Oh yeah. You know how authors like to include a hook in the first chapter? Here's an exerpt from the first page:
As she went the girl ate potato chips and knelt beside rivulets to drink. She swallowed the antihistamine that kept her allergies at bay. Other than looking for mushrooms, she listened for the lonely music of birds and-she confessed this later to Father Collins-stopped twice to masturbate.
Other than that, so far all it talks about are her stoned excursions with 7th grade girls. "I'm pretty sure bucket rhymes with fuck it."

MBS 08-22-2005 01:40 PM

I read "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" and "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" when I was up in the mountains. They were pretty good.

I'm trying to find the third one, but the bookstore was closed when I went. :(

I don't think she's Japanese, so I don't know if you'd be interested.

Arucard 08-22-2005 01:53 PM

That was below the belt Ray.

To start of with, i assume that was based on your views that all manga watchers are sick and enjoy watching rape scenes. Well, that is totally untrue, and i certainly don't.

Secondly, whats the point?

Dr. Jake Destructo 08-22-2005 01:54 PM

It's called Out Lady of the Forest, in case you're interested. :p

Ray- refl!

This album I'm listening to is great so far. It sounds modern, but without being faggy. :thumb:

That reminds me, I saw some kid at school today that had a shirt with the word "Hentai" written across it.

The kid is very greasy, and once cried because our Pascal Programming sub didnt let him go to lunch early.

Oh darn, my MNMs got taken out of the third rules post and put into the last. :'(

Anyways, my MNM is delayed because Clyde got back from surgery yesterday, and was very sorry for himself. Poor fellow. 7 stitches and a drain. :(

Shred Danson 08-22-2005 03:41 PM

Hey everybody, what's going on in this internet forum?

I didn't say they were "the best in the world", I'm just surprised that they're a newer band that is enjoyable. This album is really good.

Maybe it's because of the cartoon bunnies banging the **** out of each other.
