My brother and a friend of mine are the same. They're both 18, but look like very tall 14-15-year-olds. My brother has responded by growing a beard with no mustache (the Amish guy look), and my friend a goatee.

My friend decided to go the route of goatee because he's blonde and it shows up better, and figured facial hair was the best way to keep 13-year-old girls from hitting on him. I'm not exaggerating.

On the topic of shallow people, I have the opposite end of the spectrum. People are scared of me because I look like I'm always about to whack somebody.

Just got back from the international dinner. Great food.

And I can't believe I didn't notice until tonight. Remember I mentioned a couple weeks back that one girl I was thinking of asking out? Tonight was the first time she actually made eye contact with me. Before I had a chance to smile and say hi, she looked away [i]very[/i] quickly.

I thought that was odd, so I glanced over at her table now and again and noticed for the first time just how hard she tries to avoid talking with anybody except the couple of people I always see her around. She was obviously trying very hard not to look at anybody, and got very nervous when someone from a different table came over to talk to her group.

It hit me that I always saw her acting like this, but I was so intent on getting her attention that I never consciously noticed it. Well, I decided then and there that I should just not bother with this attempt. I'm introverted enough as it is, I really don't think it would be a great idea to date someone who's even more socially anxious than me. Especially now that I'm trying to change that in myself.

(sigh) Sometimes I feel like I just can't get a break. Good thing I'm stubborn.

Johnny Cash isnt rockabilly, and physchobilly is a strange sort of aquired taste, the most notable band being probably Tiger Army.
