James Brown - 20 Greatest Hits!
Sometimes I'm convinced that James Brown invented krautrock. Without the noise. I'm digging the albums I bought today. All awesome. |
What'd you get?

That album is good to listen to when you drive around at night. |
I got I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your *** for my mom. That and LOVE (Beatles).
|
That album is good to listen to when you drive around at night.
Especially Moby Octopad. |
It's best when you play "Return to Hot Chicken" and then "Moby Octopad".
|
Scott Matthews - Passing Stranger
Pretty good, this. Perhaps a little bit disappointing given how good "Dream Song" is, but still. Singer-songwriter type stuff with something on a frequent emphasis on Eastern-like sounds (healthy dose of tabla, for example), optimistically I think it'd appeal to Jeff Buckley/Nick Drake enthusiasts. And if not, you should all at least hear "Dream Song". |
Bonnie "Prince" Billy & Matt Sweeney - Superwolf
and Wilco - Summerteeth I read that this is Wilco's "pop" album but I couldn't connect to the songs as well as I did with YHF's, though there are some really fantastic lines in it. The ashtray says.. |
um LCD Soundsystem
Kanye didn't even produce half of it.
